Sometimes, I try to help welcome some of the new users. There's just a few problems that I have, though. One of the biggest ones is that there's just so many users that join every day. It makes me kind of sad, because it means that some users might get warm welcomes when they join on FimFiction like how so many of you welcomed me when I joined on here.
It would be nice if more people/ponies helped welcome others on here, and give them all a hand (or a hoof!). Just go to users, and it automatically shows the newest ones. Try to go to some of their pages and leave a welcoming comment, or maybe even PM them. You could show them some groups they may like, or tell others about how they joined and help them out that way. You don't have to, but I think that it would be a really kind thing for others to do. If you didn't get one when you joined, then I'm sorry and hope that you still have fun on here.

Yo, not gonna lie, how do you go about sending a greeting comment? Personally I just try to avoid fake users and also avoid users that have already been sent a comment by somepony else. Is there anything else I should take into account?

Also, when it comes to fake users, I have only experienced that once. I asked Kody the Ultamate Brony to help me out with an experiment once. There was this one user that we both welcomed. But what was different about them was they were advertising a company on their user page (I think it was State Farm), and I wanted to see if they were a real user. So after we both put encouraging welcome time things on their page, there was no reply. They must have just made their account and then just never used it again.

Agreed! I was so surprised at the warm welcomes I received upon first joining some months ago. Really makes you feel special and, of course, welcome.
There’s a group on here that specializes in welcoming newcomers (It’s just called “The Fimfiction Welcoming Committee”) and I enjoy being apart of it
