I don't really post my outwork outside of Discord groups, but I felt like sharing some doodles, both finished and unfinished here.

A writer AND an artist? Fuck me, man, how are you people doing that :duck:? Tell me your secrets!

P.S.

Feeling better than the last time, I hope :unsuresweetie:?

It would be more accurate to call me an artist and a writer, as I have been drawing long before writing. I picked up digital art this year and have been learning the ins and outs of that, as well as the program paint tool sai.

I don't got any secrets, really. I enjoy drawing and it's my go to escape on a bad day. I also have art friends who help me when I ask questions related to what I struggle with.

I also just like to express myself and create, so it is only natural I got into writing. Same goes for drama classes in high school and being in their productions.

Though first and foremost I am an artist above all else.

And yeah, I am doing a bit better, but still just doing the daily grind and being rather tired from it.

Glad to hear you're doing better

I always sucked at drawing. I could draw a stickman at best. Some time ago, I bought myself a Wacom tablet and tried to get into it, but with zero success. Do you have maybe some advice or know some tutorial on how to get from a stickman to the level you showed here? I mean, other than to just 'draw, draw, and draw' cause that doesn't really work for me :twilightsheepish:

There is a lot to actually discuss when it comes to art improvement. For one, fundamentals. Knowing how to do tell your lines and confidence in them, being able to clearly draw any shape that comes to mind, and to take those two things and use them to break down what you are drawing to their simplist form.

Another thing which I am doing currently that helps is figure drawing. Drawing models of what you need to hone in short intervals daily will see you understanding structure much more.
