uhhh hi there

gonna cut the bullshit, it’s clear i’m pretty inactive. I haven’t legitimately posted anything since 2017, and it’s late 2020. I still come back from time to time to browse, occasionally coming across a story i like. aside from that i’m not really dedicated to investing a majority of my time into this anymore. I still like writing, so it’s not like i’m just gonna delete and never come back, but i’m pretty much done writing anything lengthy.

with that said and with a really heavy heart, i’m cancelling all stories with multiple chapters, ie The Days to Follow, He’s Not Different, Long Run, etc. In the seven years i’ve been a part of the site on thing i’ve never wanted to do was cancel a story, but I’m just not invested in finishing them anymore, and that’s pretty clear at this point, unfortunately.

If it’s any benefit, i still know what i wanted to do with those stories, and had a general idea of what I wanted to do with them. So for those who care here’s how they would have went and ended:

He’s Not Different:
following the lives of Spike, Fluttershy, and their child Furball. Spike and Fluttershy experience being parents, would follow Furball’s adolescence - him growing up into an adult, and all of them dealing with harassment regarding Furball’s genetic differences. Things happen, Furball falls in love with another male pony. He’s afraid of coming out to his parents in fear of them not accepting him for who he is but they console him blah blah blah it would end nice and happy.

The Days To Follow
Think of “The Vow” with Channing Tatum / Rachel McAdams specifically. Rarity has memory loss and tries moving forward with Spike but feels uncomfortable, as she still views him as a child, and falls back in love with Fancy Pants (to the dismay of Spike). Rarity remembers why she and Fancy Pants separated, due to Fancy Pants wanting full control of Rarity’s projects and the boutique as a whole, and was overall controlling her life. Rarity goes back to Spike and live happily ever after.

The Long Run
After Spike makes an attempt on his life, he wakes up in the hospital surrounded by those who care about him. He reluctantly joins a Suicide Prevention Group and meets some familiar faces, being Scootaloo, Rumble, and Silver Spoon. Scootaloo took an attempt on her life because she was sick of being compared to Rainbow, Silver Spoon attempted because although she was rich and popular, she was being abused at home. Rumble, the only one in the friend group who had not attempted, reveals he’s gay and is harassed by his brother, but no one else can know as he’s worried people would treat him the same way his brother does. Eventually, Spike reveals he attempted his on life because he felt bis friendships with the Mane 6 were insincere, the constant harassment he received whenever they traveled, all topped off by being rejected by Rarity. The four find solace in each other and become close, but after an argument with Spike, Spike outs Rumble, and Rumble makes an attempt on his own life. He survives, and when he comes to, he and Spike reconcile, as well as receive support from his parents and classmates, all reassuring him they won’t judge him for his sexuality. The story ends with Scootaloo and Spike getting together, Rumble confronting his brother, and Discord and Fluttershy (after some legal shit) gain guardianship over Silver Spoon. Spike reconciles with the Mane 6, worked things out with Rarity, and the story ends with the 4 moving forward as friends.

That was pretty long. Again, it physically pains me that I couldn’t ever finish these. I never wanted to cancel these, but I just don’t have the time or passion to continue these. I’m sorry to everyone who enjoyed these stories, I hope in the very least you can find solace in the summaries.

Thanks for taking the time out to read this. I don’t think i’m done with the fandom yet, so you might get another oneshot or two out of me, but like I said, i’m done with lengthy writing.
