Beg pardon for the radio silence this last while. Brains are scunners; evolving them was a mistake.
Two tidbits to blether about, and here’s the first: Orbiting Kettle’s A Bug on a Stick has been completed! I’ve been one of the editors on the story throughout, along with FanOfMostEverything, and I remember recommending it back in halcyon days.
That recommendation absolutely stands, and if you missed my first touting of it or if you preferred to wait till it was completed, go check it out. It features a young Celestia and Luna running into a younger Chrysalis and all their childhood escapades as they grow up in a wonderfully well-realised ancient Equestria alongside a whole host of vivid supporting characters, as well as their intermittent grappling with the mystery of what exactly Chrysalis is. I can’t recommend it enough, or most anything from Kettle’s library enough for that matter.
Secondly, by way of thoroughly breaking the radio silence, I’ve a new story out, featuring everyone’s favourite Equestrian royal, Prince Blueblood.
He’s always seemed a fun character to play with on the margins of stories, as well as fertile soil for a starring role. Inspiration for this came about in response to FanOfMostEverything’s Imposing Sovereigns II contest last year. Inspiration proceeded to fail me when I tried to complete it for that, and I parked it for a while. Inspiration redeemed itself this summer, though, under the influence of Highland scenery and more Wodehouse than is healthy for a man to read.
If the notion of Prince Blueblood sashaying forth on a grand adventure to retrieve Auntie Celestia’s favourite painting with Twilight Sparkle as his conscripted and infinitely more capable sidekick appeals at all, do give The Prince, the Mockingbird, and the Dreadful Twilight Sparkle a gander. It’s been completed, and subsequent chapters’ll follow tomorrow and the day after.
Legends should hopefully resume shortly as well.
There is such a thing?

When 'What-ho,' slips out as a casual greeting in a call, oh lord, yes.

Who are you? Why did this show up in my feed? Why does looking at your avatar fill me with an inexplicable desire to ask about sequels to something called Wedding March? What even is a Wedding March?

For the love of god, if you're going to unleash that much eldritch dreadfulness on me, please at least remember my name.
Seriously, it's badly needed, C'thagaloth the Name-Eater made off with it.
Everyone concerned about your well-being warned you that following me could only lead to calamity, but did you listen.
Cubity has that effect on thousands, I wouldn't worry about it. Perfectly common condition.
They line up the easy questions, and I knock 'em down.
That title is fantastic. I just have to know what this one's about. XD

The title's as excellent a summary of the contents as can be contrived. I can only hope the contents match the title's fantasticness as well.

A Bug on a Stick is a must read for anyone who likes seeing young Tia and Luna, or likes the idea a seriously adorable little eldritch abomination Chryssi, or just wants to see what the pre-Diarchy, pre-Discord Equestria might have been like.
Also, Prince Blueblood is a way underused character, doing him as a Wodehouse character seems like a perfect fit, and I can't wait to read that!

Seconding all of these selling points. There's something for everyone in it!
Hope Wodehouse-y Blueblood satisfies, as and when you read about him.
Thanks for the update and the new story. :)
(And the recommendation for A Bug on a Stick, which I don't need myself but quite second. :D)

You're welcome on both counts!
A Bug on a Stick can never have too much seconding.

:)
Though it does look like I'll have to wait until tomorrow to actually get at the new story; I was hoping to squeeze it in today, but then someone dropped around eight thousand more (no doubt delightful) words on it. :D
Eh, well, I should really be getting to bed anyway, so probably for the best. :D

No worries! It should get its next and final chapter tomorrow anyway (to the tune of another eight thousand words), so you'll get the complete article then.

Heh, thanks. :D
