    I'll do it!

I'll finish BSAP. I've been gone for quite a while. I'll begin work soon. I'm sorry. I hope this is good news. I'll write all the chapters and then release them all relatively at the same time. I'm not just slapping an ending on it either, I intend to do a good job.

    It's not really fair...

I just feel like I can't really write anymore. I've lost whatever it was and just don't feel like BSAP is improving. I've learned a hell of a lot from writing the story, and I sincerely do hope to keep writing in some way, but... it's too hard to continue when neither the ideas or my focus is there. For now, maybe treat the story as if it has gone on a temporary hiatus. I'm not sure. I'll get it

    Any Moment Now

I'm just waiting on edits before I post the chapter, but in the meantime I'd like to recognize a good friend of mine, Xeirla, for making this new cover for me:

Seriously good artist, who sometimes does livestreams while he draws. It's a pleasure to watch him work.

New Chapter of But, She's a Pony to come tomorrow

I'm too tired to finish it tonight, but I have a good section of it written and the rest completely planned out, so I'm certain I'll be able to edit and release the chapter by tomorrow. It feels so good to be writing again :pinkiehappy: I can only hope the story continues and is worth the wait I put you guys through.

Very Mixed Reactions on the latest chapter · 4:11am Nov 25th, 2012

Wait to pass judgement until chapter 9! I promise it will all make sense then....

Okay, probably not, but more will make sense then. Thanks for reading!

Hey, I liked it! :pinkiehappy:

My name is Andrew, so I have to like it!

well... that IS the job of the author :ajsmug:
hehehe...:yay:

EDIT: but i did like it, very much in fact

I liked it too! Keep writing what you want, it's not like those who didn't like it can fire you or something.

It felt ham-fisted to me, what with those flashbacks. I'm fairly confident I can predict exactly how the next chapter will go, thanks to them.
As the saying goes, "Show, don't tell".
Not bad enough to unfollow mind. Just a dip in quality compared to the rest of it.

I love it!

Don't let 'em tell you otherwise, Joe! :flutterrage:

ah loved da chapter, I just knew this chapter was going to be completed during the next chapter =D

Was a fine chapter.

Harsh, unyielding judgment shall be reserved for now. Keep up the good work!

There was absolutely nothing wrong with the chapter; it's likely that people just don't want to subject their brains to the awkwardness that next chapter will likely entail.

536940 Psychic!! Prove to us your psychicness by telling us where it's going, then!

536958>>536956>>536953>>536942>>536937>>536934>>536936 Why thank you!

And if anyone who reads this is freaking out over ponies first date = sex... well that's pretty much how it is irl.

 Hay babe lets haf sex
:duck: okai

I feel it works. There's really no established mating rituals in the mlp world, so I'm free to invent my own, aren't I?

And with the flashbacks, those were more to elaborate on the pony culture. Not planning on making them a normal part of this story.

536991 Perhaps I'm being a bit hypocritical considering the fact that I both hate reading those situations and yet I'm one of those people that write them.

537009
Making up your canon's mating rituals is fine. Shoving it in our faces a problem, though; that's not the best way to handle most things when it comes to writing.

537316 I see your point. In my defense, I'm still a relatively inexperienced writer and am learning as I go. Not to fear, this isn't going to turn into clop. In hind sight it probably would have helped things had I just extended the current chapter into a slightly longer chapter which will now be what is chapter 9. I think that would have made the whole thing better. Not fixed, but better. I could be wrong though.

537403
No no, I feel I'm being misinterpreted. While, yes, turning the story into a clopfiction would be a bad idea, as it would alienate a lot of people who didn't sign on for that when they first favorited your story, that wasn't at all what I meant. I was referring to the fact that by the end of Drew and Fluttershy's scene together, I already had an adequately solid idea of what had been misunderstood between the two of them and what that would mean for the next chapter. But you didn't stop there; you shoved in two additional scenes on the subject as though you weren't sure your audience could follow what was going on without them. And in the second one, Rarity flat-out has an inner monologue about the difference between human and pony mating rituals. Hence, shoving it in our faces.

537549 OOHHHHHHHHHhhhhhhhhh...... Yes, I wasn't entirely sure everybody understood it until the scene with Rarity, although if some people had assumed it by the end of the first scene, I can see how it would be repititive. Nonetheless, I feel ot shouldn't take too much from the story overall.

I suppose with ovulation being a known quantity instead of being hidden like with human women sex would probably be a much more casual thing since they don't need to fear surprise pregnancy. Add on top of that the idea that there is no cannon saying that ponies had all the sexual repression that humans have had in culture than it is even more likely they would bang casually. :moustache:

Well, I liked it. Awaiting the next chapter!

536934 Looks like I'm not the only Andrew reading this one then :derpytongue2:

My first reaction was a flabbergasted "oh no, he went thereā€¦"

I did decide to hold my judgement until after this all plays out though.

Cultural differences are a pretty awesome theme for me, as I've lived across the world from my hometown (even though mostly latitude-wise) and then back to across the country and found more cultural differences now where I live today, within the same country but on the other end from where I originally hail from.
