Updates on My Stories and Oncoming Superstardom

So obviously, Hurricane Isaias didn't destroy me. In fact, it missed where I lived by several miles. Sadly, it managed to hurt some other people further up the coast, so helping out any of the victims or local charities would be much appreciated. I just hope the tropical depressions forming out in the Atlantic will be much tamer and not hurt anybody else, but you know the saying: "Hope for the best, prepare for the worst".

Ah, yes, the update. I'm usually pretty mum about updates, given how infrequently I work on various fanfics and inability to keep my own deadlines, but there were some fun things that came up that I wanted to share for the heck of it.

For starters, ObabScribbler just released her casting sheet for the voice actors working on her upcoming Halloween and Christmas specials. And guess who managed to nail the role of Elder #2?

In all seriousness, this is a pretty big deal for me personally, as I've always had an interest in voice acting and have auditioned a few times for Scribbler's other productions. Knowing that I got a part in her newest production, even just a minor one, makes me feel ten feet tall. I can't wait to work with her and the other actors, and I wish the best to everybody that auditioned.

As for my own writing, I wanted to say that my work on an academic essay I'm writing for a local institution has been eating up most of my writing time. I'm still working on the stories I've mentioned in past blogs, but I've stopped making promises for when they will arrive. I've decided such a tactic is pointless until I can stop procrastinating or find someone to light a fire under my butt effectively. Until then, these updates will be as sporadic as my love life.
