As many of who saw my post last week are aware, Thursday the 13th of August was not my lucky day with getting three downvotes. But something that I noticed when I saw the first two downvotes that I did not say in the last post, the first chapter had not received any new views. So that seems to prove that the downvotes were given solely for the reason of Twilight not outliving her friends and dying with them. This is not acceptable anymore. I've put up with this for a long time but no more. Downvotes are meant to be used for constructive criticism not bullying, which is definitely what it is when you give something a downvote without even reading it. I always read something before I give it a thumbs down for whatever reason such as not liking a character acting a certain way. I've tried to be civil and requested that people who want Twilight to be immortal simply move on, but they have disrespected that and in the past tried to convince me that immortality is a gift. Enough is enough.
From now on, I will be having this story enter a period of on and off votes until it is finished and will provide a link to this blog in my story.
If you wish to put a vote during the times I will allot for it to be allowed you must perform one of these steps. I will allow downvotes, so long as I think they are valid and they must have nothing to do with wanting Twilight to be immortal.
1. Comment, you must prove you have read the story so that I am not tricked in some way if someone were to merely favorite it.
2. PM me, once again you must show that you read the story and give me a reason for liking or disliking it.
Either comment or PM, I will then private message you the days and time I will allow for votes to be put in.
I've had the same issue. If people are going to downvote a story, they should at least have the decency to say why.

Why can't they accept our opinion? This is not what the fandom originally stood for. If we want Twilight to not have to outlive her friends, and they disagree with that, they can just ignore the story and move on without giving it a downvote. Why is that so hard? All the NSFW stories I see featured or in updates, you don't see me downvoting them, I'll simply not read them and leave it at that.
That sucks. Have you tried ignoring the haters?

You're in the same position as I was on Fanfiction. A guest reviewer kept being rude to me in the reviews of my stories. They were cussing me out, telling me to die and all that. I was getting angry and warned them to stop disrespecting me. They kept doing it, and I deleted all my stories on Fanfiction. They're the reason why I'm doing my writing on quotev now.
Eh, the disliking system being abused as usual. Unless you include the YouTube Rewinds, that we can all agree that both 2019 and 2018 versions sucked.
You know, there is another possibility. Someone who has been reading thus far simply didn't like how things turned out and downvoted...
That's what happened to one of mine - I posted one chapter that people didn't like, and it earned me multiple downvotes and readers jumping ship. It happens, don't get yourself worked up over it.

Perhaps, but I did request that people leave me a reason for disliking in a comment or PM in the description. Didnt receive any, and one of the dislikes occurred right after I did a promotion. Well, it may or may not have been bullying.
I have a similar problem. I try not to worry about it too much so I don't spiral, but it's very annoying as to why they don't specify why they dislike it
The Days of New Equestria had this problem, but it’s getting better at least.
