My Movie Review of Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island (Reconstructed & Re-Analyzed)

This is a completely modified version of my review on “Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island”. Along with presenting a greater sense of reconstruction to correct grammatical errors and all that sort of thing, this also presents a combination of my thoughts on the film both when I initially reviewed and re-analyzed it later the same year.

My Second List of Least Favorite Villains

Following my previous post, I was immediately inspired to go ahead and showcase another ten of my least favorite villains. The biggest reason for why is because I enjoyed creating the last one so much that I couldn’t resist doing it again, and it felt good to get it out of my system as well.

My Episode Review on The Three Stooges: Slippery Silks · 12:25am Aug 10th, 2020

Greetings and salutations, my friends.

This is your top-of-the-line film, TV show, and episode reporter here with another review.

Today, for my 36th episode analysis, I'm gonna give you guys my take of the Three Stooges's "Slippery Silks".

Here's the rundown of it:

In the wake of accidentally destroying a $50,000 Chinese cabinet, the Three Stooges unexpectedly go from cabinet makers to being the new owners of their late uncle's dress shop.

Having thought a lot about what Three Stooges short I wanted to review next, this one in particular came to my mind the most because my thoughts on it built up like a construction project.

The one thing I can't deny is that there were a couple of plot holes revolving around Mr. Morgan, the guy who owned the Chinese cabinet. The plot holes being these:

1. After Mr. Morgan and the cabinet shop owner come and find the cabinet to be ruined, Mr. Morgan approaches Moe and begins strangling him before the scene suddenly switches to the Stooges escaping the building.

2. Right before the food fight began, the Stooges and Mr. Morgan were physically fighting with one another before Larry accidentally hit Moe. It was never shown what happened to Mr. Morgan after that, although when you look closely at the scene where some of the women are arguing, you could see his body lying across the floor like he was knocked out somehow.

The problem was that it was never shown how the Stooges escaped Mr. Morgan while at the cabinet-making shop or how he got knocked out while at the dress store.

For instance, the direction by Jack White (Preston Black), and the story by Ewart Adamson, were deeply fun. When it came to making a great Stooges short, the two of them literally didn't mess around. The comedy throughout the short was nonstop hilarious, and there were some gags that were distinctly fresh. Plus, the narrative was original and unique.

The performances of the cast were splendid as well. The Stooge trio themselves were obviously quite passionate about their material, because the way they were able to get really into their work was so great every moment with them was enjoyable.

I would also like to add that the music that was playing during the fashion show was undeniably soothing, giving a great sense of relaxation and intrigue. I wish I knew who composed the score, because I'd have loved to mention the person's name to commend him for his work.

In conclusion, "Slippery Silks" did have its plot holes, but it was still a really fun Stooges installment to watch.

So, I rate "Slippery Silks" 4½ out of 5 stars.

Most fans would care less about the plot holes because of the hilarious humor. Also one scene I really like is how the Stooges design furniture hybrid dresses.
