WHAT IN THE ACTUAL FUCK IS THIS SHIT?

I know for sure you guys will agree with me on this, so let me just say this out loud. Teen Titans Go is honestly one of the worst shows to ever exist in cartoon history. Not only is the show an insult to the fan base of the original show (Teen Titans 2003) but it is also an insult to the target audience and to any casual TV watcher. Seriously, why would any sane parent or guardian allow their kids to watch that show? I am so thankful that this show has ended and that it will no longer torment people with its overwhelming stupidity and foolishness that kids should not be exposed to. And to make things even worse... they made a movie based on the show. After watching it, I never felt so angry, so annoyed, and so irritated in my whole life... well, actually I’ve felt that after watching other horrible pieces of media. This movie is basically the summarization of everything the show runners and writers had thrown at our faces and spat at us with a patronizing sense of self-righteousness. I have so much to say, so please bare with me.

First off, what they have done with Robin is unforgivable and infuriating. Remember when the real Robin was an actual leader and had a high sense of morality, knew what he was doing, respected his teammates, had a humble spirit, was serious in everything he did, was actually good-looking as far as design is concerned, and was overall a likable character? Remember that Robin? Yeeeeaaaahh, forget him! Because we bring to you a brand new Robin—a selfish, egotistical, excessively narcissistic, creepy, self-righteous, incredibly annoying, and patronizing dictator. Never mind Control Freak (one of the villains of the Teen Titans) because this “Robin” is the complete textbook definition of a control freak. I swear to God, if the actual Batman (not that retarded version of Batman in this show) was here and saw “Robin” behaving that way, he would legit be ASHAMED of him not to mention take the Robin mantle away from him if he belonged to him. Also, he really doesn’t deserve Starfire because he is such a creepy stalker to her. She somehow doesn’t take an interest in him unlike the original Starfire. But because no one taught this donkey-brained ignoramus that “no” means “no”, he stalks her and desperately tries everything he can to make her like him. He doesn’t even deserve Raven or any other girl for that matter. For those of you who ship Robin with Raven or Starfire, DO NOT associate your ships with this... THING!! I hate this version of Robin more than the other ones. He is exactly what ruins the show for me. Therefore, I had no sympathy or care in the world for Robin in this movie.

In this movie, Robin wants Hollywood to make a movie about him. Why? Because he feels he would be a true hero once he gets a movie. He sees every other superhero get a movie, so why not him? But when he finds out nobody likes him and denounces him as a worthless sidekick, he cries in sorrow and runs off. What a little bitch. Then of course, you have his friends try to cheer him up and encourage him to not give up. Yeah, because you should definitely stick up for someone who occasionally disrespects you, makes you look inferior to him, and bosses you around without leading you through precept and example. Then of course, you have stupid and meaningless musical scores and the Teen Titans casually murdering someone via roadkill. They just left him there for dead. Our heroes, folks...

Throughout the movie, the team are constantly called goofers and complete jokes which they rightfully are... well except Raven (I’ll talk more about her later in the future). Basically, it is the writers and show creators acknowledging the complaints a lot of fans brought up to them but still not giving two shits of improving their mistakes. As a matter of fact, there is an episode in the show called “The Fourth Wall” I believe... where the Teen Titans discover they are being watched by the audience and realize why they are being hated so much. As a cherry on top, Beast Boy shakes his ass on the camera. You know what that’s called? It’s called “flipping the bird at the fans”. If you don’t know what that means, google it.

************

I’m not even done yet. I have yet another half of my anger to vent.

************

Jade Wilson (that’s totally not suspicious in any way 🙄) tells the titans that they need an arch-nemesis and be the only heroes in order to have their own film. So, they travel through time to—this is the first most sickening part of the whole film—erase Superheroes by not making them superheroes in the first place. For example, they save Krypton from destruction, save Bruce’s parents, prevent the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles from being mutated, and so forth. And what do you get? CHAOS AND DESTRUCTION!! Brilliant job, Teen Titans! You just doomed the whole world (my autocorrect suggested movie in place of “world”; fairly accurate smartphone lol) to death and crime! But wait! It doesn’t stop there! After realizing their horrendous mistake with very little reaction, they go back in time and undid their very work. That was depressingly sick, dark, and mindfucked. They literally pushed Bruce’s parents to being shot to death, doomed Krypton to extinction, and much more. Yet, Bruce doesn’t seek to exact vengeance on them? Superman’s parents don’t get infuriated by their act? Screw that... why didn’t they question where those teenagers came from or how they got in their home? Another critical plot hole is that Robin never considered the possibility of him being wiped out since Batman is his entire reason for being. Without Batman, there wouldn’t be any Robin. Seems like he didn’t think things all the way through, but he is lucky that didn’t happen since the writers simply forgot that massively important detail.

Oh, and Deathstroke/Slade Wilson is in this movie! While I liked how he was both threatening and somewhat funny at the same time, he just... seemed a little too goofy to be taken seriously. Again with villains who just are unbalanced. It wasn’t really surprising that Jade was Slade in disguise (look at their last names). The hints were blatantly obvious. Anyway, he was a cool villain I guess but that’s just it about this version of him. The original Teen Titans Slade is sooooooo much better in every way.

Just like the show, it had fart jokes, toilet humor, and overused fourth-wall break jokes that went on forever. It is completely forced and not funny. That’s basically teaching kids to make inappropriate flatulence jokes around people without giving any regard for their space and well-being. That’s a great message to send to the kids, right?!

The very climax and final battle was just embarrassingly cringeworthy. In fact, throughout the whole film, I kept pausing the movie as an involuntary response to cringe. I AM SERIOUS! There was not a single moment in which I stopped cringing and pausing the film. I can’t believe I suffered through this. You want to know what made it so cringeworthy? They realize that they are complete jokes in comparison to everyone else who does the job right, yet at the same time, they will CONTINUE in being jokes and RELISH in being jokes to everyone. That’s the writers saying, “WE KNOW THAT THESE GUYS SUCK, BUT WE WILL STILL DO WHATEVER WE WANT! DEAL WITH IT!” Isn’t that the similar message MLP FIM: season 7 episode “Fame and Misfortune” shared? Especially the song the ponies sang that said, “Yes, we’re not perfect; stop complaining about us already!” So patronizing and self-righteous. But I digress... the point is that they both acknowledged what went wrong with them yet they made no improvement whatsoever to FIX those changes. If you at least fix your problems and give your characters proper development and growth, you wouldn’t be getting any hate now, would you?

Lastly, the way they defeated Slade was dumb, and the second worst thing in this film happened. Robin gives a very good moral lesson about being yourself in order to be a true hero to people. When you consider the entire context of this movie and the show, what they are saying is that since the best way to succeed in life is being yourself, they will continue being stupid, being ridiculous, being outright careless and reckless, not caring for everyone, argue with each other over trivial things, making stupid immature jokes, and much more. Seriously, you learn nothing new about Robin, and you are forced to see him shaking his ass at the camera every five minutes. That’s the kind of leader you want, right? It is an extremely toxic and harmful moral to teach kids. If you want people to not see you as a joke or as someone who doesn’t take crucial things in life seriously, then FIX your mistakes, improve your behavior even if it takes time (it’s a work in progress ), be kind, helpful, respectful, and supportive in any way you can. Then people might like you again. After the movie, the Teen Titans resumed their usual path like they’ve learned nothing. It’s pointless, toxic, and downright terrible. Oh, and Robin tainted the closing scene with him telling kids to ask their parents where... babies come from??? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! Yeah, that’s it. I hate this “Robin”.

One more thing: the Titans have sympathy for Robin as friends should. But hold on... they respect him as a leader and friend yet they treat him like “boring garbage” (rightfully so) in the actual show. They don’t even like his leadership in the show which is why they often get annoyed with him. I can’t honestly blame them for that. It makes no sense that after he betrayed them in exchange for getting his own movie, they instantly forgive him after that. That’s bad writing all over it.

I’m done. I’m so done. I rate this trash a 0/10. Thankfully, the other Teen Titans Go! movie is much better than this one. I’ll review that one some time this week. Any thoughts on this? Boy, this was a pain in my butt. Pardon my language in this review. This movie just annoyed the heck out of me. Ughhhh!!!

Peace.

Honestly, 0/10 is being too nice

There should have been a negative rating

Yes, the other one is Teen Titans Go! vs Teen Titans.

5316296
Hehe. Glad you agreed. People said this movie is better than the show. It’s NOT.

5316299
I recommend you watch it. It’s much better.

Never liked Teen Titans Go.

Will Arnett stole the show as Deathstroke.

Personally, I don’t hate or dislike this show as many others do. I pretty much watched this show from 2nd grade all the way to 5th or 6th. And usually I don’t grow to hate childhood things. However, I don’t have interest in it as much as I used to, and I guess I can see the stupidity. The most I might do is watch the movies myself if I ever do, or probably make stuffed animal videos with plushies of them. Who knows?

I guess this is my Suicide Squad :P

Wow. Just wow. Teen Titans hasn´t been a part of childhood, so I never knew why people hated Teen Titans Go! so much. But now... Oh boy, now I do.

Based on what you say, they did Robin dirty. Man, it feels very bad when they do that to your favourite character. In my case it was with Discord.

he really doesn’t deserve Starfire because he is such a creepy stalker to her.

That reminds of a phrase in a song in spanish that perfectly describes this: What you feel is not love, it´s called obsession.

If you at least fix your problems and give your characters proper development and growth, you wouldn’t be getting any hate now, would you?

While some of the fans´ complaints may seem dumb (for example, the complaint of Fluttershy learning the same lesson over and over again, is dumb in my opinion. Firstly, standing up for yourself and having confidence in yourself isn´t something easy for some people, so it´s normal if they make mistakes or fall into old habits. Besides, Fluttershy has become in a braver and more confident pony), it´s also important to listen to them. They can point out mistakes that you didn´t think of and help improve your material. It´s funny, when I first watched the episode, I didn´t see anything wrong with it and agreed with it, but now that I can see why some fans see it as problematic.

Here´s some advice for reboots: try to take the spirit of the older version, pay attention to how the characters act like to understand them, and listen to fans. They can lend a hand.

Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, my friend.

5317070
You´re welcome. I like analyzing these things.

5317072
Me too. It’s a fun experience.

I am so thankful that this show has ended and that it will no longer torment people with its overwhelming stupidity and foolishness that kids should not be exposed to.

Uh.... was that confirmed recently for TTG? ^^'

5319638
Yes, the show is OVER. I checked it on Google last time.

5319646
Source link? I'm not sure if I want to believe you or not. :twilightsheepish:

5319649
I am unfortunately wrong. The torture will never end...

5319830
Told ya.

Where did you find the original source link anyways? You still haven't answered that part of my question yet. ^^;

5319882
I just Googled it where it initially said that the show was over. It said “Ended on 2019”. Now it’s gone. Does that answer your question?

5319889
Yes. ^^'

And huh..... kind of weird given that's been 1 year since 2019. ^^'

I remember my friends on Discord discussing this movie on Voice Chat some days ago.
We were at a disbelief hard at the fact apparently this wretched movie did "well" in the box office and such. Even more than the MLP movie. Its so bs there, like whats going on with the world?
Apparently people are praising the TTG movie's animation or something, ffs MLP movie's animation was beautiful.

Sadly that awful TTG show is still alive with CN just spamming annoying commercials of upcoming episodes of it and such.
I swear if that show lasts longer than MLP:FIM I am just going to lose it.

5320738
As Thanos said, reality is often disappointing.

5320762
Wished TTG gets snapped away and stop clogging up the timeslots.
Along with making CN stop going with "11 minute episode" crap.
Shows like Ninjago basically suffered due to being forced into being 11 minutes instead of being 22 minutes.

Just watched this movie, and allow me to give you my initial thoughts, "My god. I feel like half of my brain exploded." You review sums this... disgrace up pretty accurately. But do you want to know something fucking hilarious? Remember when you said that this movie is just writers giving you the finger? Guess what, it ain't the first time. If you thought you were angry watching this movie, then the episode, "The return of Slade", will make you WISH you knew where Michael Jelenic and Aaron Horvath,(the two fuckheads who came up with and make this garbage.), live so you could personally strangle them.

I’m so sorry you had to endure such torture. May you speedily recover from that mental explosion you had and your eyes purified from that horrible shit-stain.
