    Muggonny needs help

My good friend Muggonny has been in dire financial straits before, and I know that most of y'all will remember my blog about that. Well, now he needs help again. Except, it's not necessarily for him, it's for his sister and her extremely young child. I admittedly don't have the funds to spare myself at the moment (I'm on a brief

Hey, remember that thing I wrote?

The rough, experimental little piece about the pegasus tribe? Well, it's now a polished little piece in its own right. If you liked the early version, give this one a read, upvote, and comment. More words to follow, soon.

    Hello gamers

I have been so quiet lately because I have been hard at work (also, I have some important happenings irrelevant to this blog) on some updates. One of those is a brand spankin' new story for Mother's Day. It has been in the works for a few years now. That's right, ya boi wrote a normal Mother's Day story. Probably.

    Catch the SFW flavor here:

    Reader interaction poll!

    Please check it out here.

Since comments are a little scarce and I’m new to long-form mature fiction, I wanted to do a quick survey. It’s all anonymous but it’s going to be very helpful because of the content slated to appear in the next few chapters. Your votes will help me gauge reader feelings and the intensity of how graphic things will be.

    Pretty Pony Poems

Lately, I have been going through various complete entries in Missing Pages that were too short to publish. I decided that "Just Weep" shouldn't be left to gather dust there. I've since published it as its own story with the addition of eight new poems about Celestia (and Luna) so that it is long enough to count as a one-shot according to the site's minimum wordcount rule. If you read the

You’re under 18.

You only say that because you want to eat me.

Where’s this art from?

I'm from Australia, where not voting at elections is a crime.
I vote by policy, not out of any particular preference for parties.

Except for the picture. I vote Luna.
Every time.

Luna

2nd poll doesn't allow multiple selection.

And I'm sticking for Luna. Night Princess all the way~!

i'm very offended we weren't asked to vote between princesses :(

Luna for sure. And neither of the answers on those polls surprised me in any way lol

What's wrong with France?

all these cowards straying from the sun's glorious light

The lunarists romantice being weak and neglected.
Scoff at their foolishness!

I'm a monarchist :D

my thoughts exactly XD

From the tally, it looks like Left-wingers eke out a victory. The only mystery is what 'other' means.
Edit: Looks like the right is barely ahead. This is intense!

D'aww, links no working for me. :fluttercry: Now I don't even know what I'm supposed to be not-destroying.

luna is best princess

LUNA IS BEST

Out of these two, moon horse.

Celestia is an excellent pony, but Luna has been, and always will be, the best pony.

Perhaps.

Is not voting Down Under actually a crime?

Sunshine and Moonbeams.

The second one isn't supposed to, or at least not how I envisioned it. Is there any reason you wanted it to have that? I just envisioned it as a 'where is my current residence/general nationality approximate' thing. Sorry if it wasn't the best.

I didn't mean to mislead. Whoops lol.

I'm actually surprised I have such a wide margin of NORTH American followers. I did this because I've always wondered where most of my followers are from and what they might believe, especially since the vast majority of fanfiction is about people adopting monarchist and pseudo-monarchist views. We write about fictional autocracy and utopian societies, and not always with fantasy politics included. I'm curious about how diverse my followers might be! I've always had an idea of what most of my close friends are, but not really more than that.

France-kicking is a common joke, aside from obvious national tragedies. It's history's ultimate meme.

'Other' is for anything I could have possibly forgotten. I meant these options to parallel the political compass, which has universal options. I'm actually surprised by the results of the first poll, but only because I had nothing to base it off of.

I've lived in the US now for longer than I've lived anywhere else, but I still don't fit in. Where I live is the US. Where I am from is a mixed bag.

5315613
Coming back to it now that more people voted and I actually am surprised after all with the first poll. I really thought the majority of readers would be left. You make me want to do the same poll to see how my own readers would react.

5315622
Darn, I guess I wasn't the best with options. I wasn't sure how multiple votes would look if I can still only 'see' one in the end. Maybe the comments would work better?

5315625
Feel free to copy what I did! I'm most curious about 'other' since I felt the options I provided were fairly good. What could they be? aaaaaa that's currently 16 mystery votes

5315633
Haha I found myself wondering what "other" was as well.

5315635
i just thought there was something i might not have accounted for ;~;
also these get more votes than my story polls fml

I thought there'd be more left as well, disappointing.

5315613
Wasn't sure France-kicking was a much of a thing outside of the UK and certain US conservatives. I thought the surrendering jokes were kind of dumb.

It's not really a conservative thing? There's just numerous jokes about France. Napoleon (not the height thing), the Revolution, the Maginot line, weird language facts, etc. I can see how it seems to be a very American/British thing, though I've never heard someone not make fun of France.

I guess it's just kind of a Thing.

I thought there'd be more left as well, disappointing.

I mean, I'm always pleased to see my followers being diverse in that regard. There's nothing wrong with that.

(Did anyone have any predictions? I didn't know what to expect tbh.)

5315613
I kinda agree with Lofty here. Born in the United States and was raised for 4 years, lived in Korea for almost 14 years after that. In that case, where am I from? Am I from Korea, or from the United States? I am still not sure if I am an American or a Korean, which is doubly complicated by the fact that I have both citizenships. And I'm saying this not because I don't fit in, but because the fact's always there: that someday I have to choose between the two nations(Korea doesn't allow dual citizenship).

I don't know, it's... complicated. It's a constant nagging feeling in the back of my mind, one that I don't think about it consciously but that can't be forgotten.

5315613
Not voting will get you a hefty fine, unless you're not of sound mental capability to vote, in hospital or in prison.

5315686
I guess I expected there to be more given the subject of some of your stories.

Hmmm, yeah there a lot of meme-worthy things in French history alright. It's not really a conservative thing, I'm just thinking of when the Iraq War started and some conservative politicians got angry at France for not supporting the invasion. In one bizarre move they renamed french fries to "Freedom Fries" in the White House cafeteria and it caught on a little.

5315699
Oh heck I dunno how to make polls account for this very sorry ;~;
5315706
Bro that's actually a really good law you Aussies are on to something

5315731

My rule is that gay and diverse opinions are always welcome but bigotry is never is. That's 'bout it. 🤷

Freedom Fries? Finally an alternative F-word for a favorite snack I can speak in polite company. /s
(Honestly, I don't think there's one sole reason France is the subject of so many jokes; history is complex. Most common reasons appear to revolve around not the fact that they have iconic military losses, but the way those losses happen. Like the Maginot line.)

5315763
It serves its purpose.
I usually apply for and submit postal votes.
Saves me having to deal with the crowds at voting day.

5315787
voting by mail is new here

5315763
Yeah. A lot of people misunderstand the Maginot Line. It was constructed to force Germany to attack somewhere else. It wasn't an oversight that they built an impenetrable defense on only one part of their border. Their mistake (among a few others) was putting too many troops in the Maginot Line itself and not enough troops or fortifications near the Ardennes, and the Belgian border in general where Nazis were forced to invade through.

5315807
Not to mention they hadn't accounted for technological advances that Germany's ~ uwu secret military stash ~ had made.

5315763
No, no, it's fine! It's just... *sighs* it's been on my mind for quite some time, really. I guess I inadvertently ended up unloading it upon you. Sorry about that.

5315890
I hope you make the choice that's right for you, my guy.

5315891
Thanks, Ice. I still have some time to think about things, might as well as put that to use.
