    Double Whoops!

Did I have even more trouble this week with the episodes? Yes, yes I did. :facehoof:

I skipped adding Episodes 63, dropping 64 before it. I rectified this by adding 63 and ensuring they are in order. So, yes, y'all got two episodes due to my incompetence. :duck:

Ruby Palace - Sword Art for Tuesday!

Oh yes, it is that time again! This is the concept art I took inspiration from. Don't let the immediate similarities fool you. I totally reworked everything, ground up build for the episode. Y'all are in for a treat.

Episode 57 update · 6:45am Jul 15th, 2020

I think this weeks episode is 57. it's 1:15am central standard time is the US (when I started writing). I know, I didn't get the chapter out. The goal is the next 24 hours to have it out. If you care to know more details, keep reading. If not, you got all that matters.

I'm writing this long blog because I am bored and not tired while I'm trying to go to sleep, so I might as well write an overtly long blog on my phone, Right?

The chapter is edited, but since I'm on the road things didn't work as planned. I had time to finalize the edits, but I'm on my laptop, and Google docs appears to be copying the deleted words and the added words from my editor, and more importantly I had a tow hitch to install on the new vehicle, which we started at about 9pm... It's a 45 minute install but things did not go smoothly. My pinkie finger can attest to that (close call, but thankfully only lost some skin.) The wiring which we thought would be the hardest part took like 15 minutes. The hitch itself took us 3+ hours due to several complications. I think something happened under the back, as the exhaust pipe was welded, rather than a bracket and bar with a bolt to hold it in place.

So what am I doing on the road? Well this is move 3 of 3 with move 2 being pushed back till mid to late August, and move 1 (into my townhouse and living on my own for the first time) still in the middle of that. Move 3 is taking me away from South Texas to Michigan, where my grandma lives. July 15 happens to be her birthday! I'm driving from near Nashville Tennessee (where move 2 was supposed to go from Texas to Tennessee, hence why we got the vehicle here because we thought I would be driving a uhaul truck to Tennessee) where I saw my dad, got the new(er) SUV (sticking with Nissa Xterras because they are bad ass! Went from a dark blue 2002 to a red 2008) found out the tow hitch on the older one doesn't fit, spent half the day tracking down a place that had one. Had to get new tires because while they are the same specs better both vehicles, the bolts for the rims are not the same spacing and won't swap out, and we learned some of the other differences the same make and model can have in just 6 years with very little exterior (and interior) differences.

But! Back to move 3. So, my grandma has Parkinson's, and my step-grandfather has Dementia, and can no longer take care of her. In Michigan is none of our family anymore, and his kids (as completely awesome they are) have chosen a different path of care than what my family wants, so we are moving her to a closer assisted living place to where her kids are, because the kids can visit more often (ignoring covid-19) and the grandkids (and great-grandchildren) can visit parents and grandma, rather than us try and work in an out of the way trip to Grandma's with what little vacation time we have each year.

BTW, while my step-grandfather is not my grandfather (who I remember growing up with but died of lung cancer from smoking back in 99) I freaking love the guy. He is a part of our family and it's tough to make/roll with these decisions and say goodbyes (the older they get, the less chances health wise I'll get to see them again.) My grandma has Parkinson's, which isn't easy and created problems with the nervous system.

I am so happy to see my grandma, because it's been 2+ years. She used to living in South Texas in the winter, and back up to Michigan for the summer, but they just couldn't do the drive and stayed in Michigan. So I've missed her. Christmas Eve was always at Grandma's house, with presents, and the grandkids together, and lots of fun.

So yeah, even though I'll be at my grandparents house in Michigan in like 12 hours, I should be able to slide in the new chapter before bed.
