Just thought I'd share a couple of interesting culture nuggets with you guys, with minimal commentary. The first is a quote from renowned, Nobel Prize winning physicist Max Planck, who I believe was also quite wise regarding people, as well as the rules which govern the universe.
"A scientific truth does not triumph by convincing its opponents and making them see the light, but rather because its opponents eventually die and a new generation grows up that is familiar with it."
Considering the great conflict between different groups of thinkers going on at the moment, I'd argue this applies to all beliefs, not just scientific facts, given how receptive some folks seem to be to progressive viewpoints.
The second item is a gut-bustlingly hilarious - and freakishly prescient - video that The Onion made over seven years ago. It might honestly be the single best thing I've watched on YouTube to date. Just see for yourselves:
It always amuses me how each side of the political spectrum accuses the opposite side of being a frothing ball of rage without ever making mention of that exact problem on their own side.

Yep. The real problem is the death of considerate, measured discourse.
I have no idea how I've never seen that before, thank you!
This was a lot funnier when I saw it in early 2016.
