Happy gotcha day Amber! I can't believe we've had her for a year already.
We got here at The Humane Society. I took her into one of the visit rooms, and we instantly clicked. I knew she was perfect. I had my heart set on taking her home. Since then, she's gone from skittish and shy, to loving and energetic.
We believe she was in an abusive previous home, then abandoned. We gave her love and care, and a real home. She still is a bit skittish with new people but she quickly grows closer.
This is why I believe in the term "adopt, don't shop". Shelter pets are in need of a good home. You never know the life they had previously. They are wonderful and can be the best companion if you give them a chance.
Please everyone, show your pets you love them. Give them some extra love today.
Well I am late but I do always make sure to show my dog love. Our loyal animal companions deserve it
