Alternative scenes and endings in 'The Ending of the End' · 6:57pm Jun 26th, 2020

1. The trio attempting to drain Grogar of his magic but failed to do so as Grogar foresaw this and punishes them, this may lead to their reformation.

2. The trio attempting to drain Grogar of his magic and is successful. Grogar is now a weakling, but is he reformed?

3. The trio attempting to drain Grogar of his magic but failed to do so as Grogar foresaw this and did not punish them, giving them another chance and thereby it's Equestria vs the Quartet of Doom

I'm not sure how else it can go but do list it down in the comments if you want.

What about other scenes such as with the Royal Sisters or with Spike?

Maybe Sombra coming back somehow too due to the Bewitching Bell reactivating and caused some sort of disturbance due to that.

There are endless possibilities. But either way, I didn't like the official episode.

Edit: You know, I haven't thought of what happens if Sombra comes back. That will probably require changing "The Beginning of the End" instead, where Grogar or Discord brought him back to give him a second chance and say you suck, I don't to him. The Ending of the End would've been totally different.

The finale left me bitter due to how Luna and Celestia were handled.
Hurts more for Luna since they wasted something big for her. Since how she started the show off with her story and being the first villain(Nightmare Moon), I feel like she could have gotten something in this finale.
Really.. Discord's plan just screwed the sisters over.
It was a miracle that Spike didn't get shafted in the Ending Of The End(though it didn't make up what Beginning Of The End did to him. If he did, I would be even more bitter.

You mean the mind control? That seems minor to me, but I understand it was Spike that defeated Sombra hence his statue. If anything Spike and Sombra owe each other more than the Mane 6.

Its not so flipping minor really. Spike pretty much gets taken out/humiliated and shoved aside while its up to the "chosen ones"(Mane 6) to save everyones' flanks again. It really solidified that no matter what Spike does, he's going to end up in the Mane 6's shadow in the end due to not being an element bearer.
It really felt like it cancelled out his achievement of stopping Sombra. Why the hell didn't the writers have Spike have a major hand in Sombra's defeat in this premiere like he did with The Crystal Empire? It doesn't help that apparently Sombra didn't even realize Spike was the one who foiled him, he didn't even noticed the statue. If he knew that(especially with how his iffy personality was), he would most likely forget about trying to brainwash Spike and just try to kill him out of huge wounded pride(I mean, a dark lord getting foiled by a baby dragon, that's gotta hurt his pride). It gets worse when it turns out its ultimately Discord's fault that happened to Spike because of the Grogar plan. He practically didn't take Spike into account due to he's not a "chosen one" the Mane 6 are and practically got screwed for the sake of the girls, as in Discord didn't care what happens to Spike or others in his plan to boost Twilight's confidence.
Its just.. Beginning Of The End left a bitterness in me about how the writers handle Spike while The Ending Of The End left a bitterness on how Luna and Celestia are handled. Sorry..

No worries, to each their own.

Honestly, I’ve been okay with Grogar turning out to be Discord in disguise. Happy even.

I don’t like the idea of Tirek, Chrysalis, or Cozy Glow reforming. Or of the real Grogar appearing in Season 9.
