I have no idea how this happened · 12:42pm Jun 15th, 2020
Hey everyone
I'm sure that some have noticed, though no one's said anything thus far, so for everyone that has, I felt the need to address the situation with the current word count of my story Fallout Equestria: Clockwork Precision. So... regarding that:
HOW?! Just.... HOW?!
Some how I ended up landing on 600,000 words EXACTLY. I mean, don't get me wrong, I was fairly confident that I'd reach that word count since starting this project. (Truthfully the story has been blocked to go far beyond that from nearly the inception). But landing EXACTLY on 600k? Now, keep in mind, I didn't fiddle with the numbers after release or do anything different than I'd normally would when traveling through the pipeline. It just so happened that the most recent chapter apparently had the magic touch to roll the word count to 600k. Admittedly, this 600k factors in the "half chapters" so some could try to argue that it's still not even there yet that "those chapters don't count". But I'm counting them as they both are canon and add to the world of the overall story. I didn't eve realize it at first until a bit later. And, oddly from a universe side of things, when I went to go write a post about it, the one I'm writing right now, the server died and was down for like, what, 2 days? I tried to do the same thing last night and, again, it died for a while.
There's gremlins at work with all of this, I swear!
I'm sure others, if not most of you, will see me as some kind of nerd geeking out over numbers [ read 'nothing' ] but, hey, that's me. And this pleases my OCD in ways I can't even describe. So I'd thought I'd share a bit of quirkiness that I realized.
Stay safe out there everyone!
As always, comments, questions, and critiques are encouraged, welcomed, and appreciated.
