Yes, I'm still alive (although Metal Author is more like, dunno, tin or something soft like that). Recent events have taken their roll on my psyche.
But: I recently did something I've never done before, which is taking part in an Iron Author competition. Three prompts that were kept secret right until the start and then two hours time to write. Didn't think I could do it... but it's amazing how you can fit concept creation, research and the actual writing into such a short time. With overly silly prompts to work with to boot.
At the very least, it was a great alternative to doomscrolling on twitter.
Anyway, have a jackfruit tree. 'Tis relevant.

A tropical tree species with funny looking, ridiculously large and quite tasty fruit. I've tried it tinned once. Weird, but nice. And it's central to that stupid thing I just uploaded.
My local grocery store sells entire jackfruit sometimes.
They're fucking enormous.
