First off this blog is me asking for assistance on what is the proper chronological order of the show's timeline as I have read some fics along with DeviantArt docs (https://www.deviantart.com/auren-dawnstar/art/MLP-Chronological-Timeline-636546794) whilst researching on the topic, explaining that the show is aired in non-chronological order with either a proper proof on what the actual timeline should be or just them saying that it is not in chronological order.
The main point here is that if I were to write a fic, should I follow the airing date of the episode (this counts to Equestria girls and the movie) to the T or should I switch up the episodes to try and create a proper timeline?? I felt that the movie occurred either in the earlier part of the season around 5 or 6 rather than in season 7. If anyone can give me their opinion on this matter then I would appreciate it.
(also random side note, if we follow the timeline based on their airing date, then where were the pillars of Equestria when the storm king invaded Canterlot, cause by that time they would have been released so I am getting confused on that part)
