If anyone wants to triple their number of followers, end a fic and say you're working on a new one; worked for me. XD
I've been a little cagey on details for my next fic project, other than vague promises of a larger scope and a more serious tone than Rainbow Rambles. I'm not going to be too forthcoming here, either. Suffice it to be known that it will be an adventure story and my current length estimation is somewhere in the neighborhood of 120k words. Three chapters have been drafted and are going through edits, totaling roughly 20k words written. The plan, as it stands (my main man), is to get the first five or so chapters ready for publication before launching the fic. That way I have a sizable buffer and can release new chapters on a set schedule, probably one a week. Ech pushed for finishing the whole thing first and posting a chapter a day, but I don't think I could live in the suspense waiting for feedback until after the blasted thing is done. Also I think Ech wanted me to power through it so he could read the whole thing as quickly as possible.
I've seen other writers say "I've got more stuff in the pipeline!" and go completely dark before. I don't want anyone out there thinking the same of me. Writing is happening, pony people.
