A thought has just occurred to me.
Unless you’ve been living on fu**ing pluto, it can’t have escaped your notice that the world, (or just America mainly) is in chaos right now.
I’m not going to get into the complexities of the senseless murder that lit this powder keg, nor the chaos that has resulted, but in the interest of sensitivity, I do have an important question.
Chapter 5 of Home is Where You Make It is nearing completion but included in it is some details as to the history of Bat-Pony culture and their conflict with the other races including a fictional war and terrorist group. All non-cannon and I obviously have been writing this for a long time, so it obviously has NOTHING to do with the current political situation but there are a few very loose parallels.
This is a time more than ever people seem to be thinking with their hearts, not their heads. So regardless, do you guys think it’s a good idea to delay the release of C5 until the situation has calmed down a bit? My thinking is that even though my work has nothing to do with the current situation, this shit is nuclear and I don't want to even be loosely associated with any of it. Not to mention I don't want to stir up anger or other negative feelings in someone who may have just come to FiMFiction to get away from all that shite.

I say go for it I enjoy your story, and it's not your fault if people can't tell the difference between fiction and reality.
I concur. The people who read on this site are perfectly capable of distinguishing between story context and real life context.

This is fucking MLP fanfiction. Anyone who's getting upset over supposed parallels to real-life events has serious issues.

I would say release it as I dont see this bull*hit ending anytime real soon. No point waititing for what could be months when its pretty much ready.
I'm pretty well with everyone else I say just go ahead and release it I don't think it's going to make that much of a difference
I feel it's a powder keg is going to blow its going to do it with or without your help at this point
