My favourite kid shows · 1:52pm May 3rd, 2020
1. Little Bill is one of my favourite Nick Jr. shows. The jazzy background music goes pretty well with Little Bill exploring everyday life, hanging out with his family and friends, and learning lessons. It is pretty educational and one of the cool things is that while majority of the characters are African-American, some of the characters are culturally diverse: Andrew is of Irish descent, Kiku is of Japanese descent, Dorado is of Puerto Rican descent, and Miguel Rojas is of Mexican descent.
2. Blue's Clues is another favourite of mine and probably one of the most memorable shows on Nick Jr. This is the first series that I've watched that has a mix of live action and computer animation. Steve Burns is not only a wonderful host, but he's also an iconic legend. It's so fun to see Steve, and later Joe (Donovan Patton), finding clues about what Blue wants to do. It was an absolute shock to find out about Steve leaving the show and to make it more shocking, a rumour circulated that he died from drug overdose. Thankfully, it was proven false as he's 100% alive and he's doing well with his music career.
3. Rolie Polie Olie is a show that I watched on Playhouse Disney (now known as Disney Junior). A lot of the characters are robots with limbs that can stretch as long as they can and all of the objects are literally alive, including houses and planets. The world and setting is composed of a lot of spheres and geometric shapes, making it an incredibly wacky and imaginative sci-fi show.
4. Tiny Planets is another show on Playhouse Disney where a pair of furred extraterrestrials travel to different planets to solve all kinds of problems. The episodes consist of a lot of discoveries such as rainbows, shadows, animation, mixing colours, weather, plants and animals, wind energy, rain into snow, arithmetics, logic, geometry, rhythm, harmony, pitch, acoustics, fitness, cleanliness, healthy eating, springs, wheels, levers, pulleys, balance, forces, gears, and structures.
5. Max & Ruby is another show that I used to watch on Nick Jr. It's so funny that Max constantly outsmarts his older sister Ruby. Though I didn't get to watch the latest episodes, it's nice to see Max speaking in complete sentences, including Morris and Roger.
Blue clues, tiny planet and rolie polie olie is one of the shows i watched as a little kid, when I got back from school this is one of the shows i saw when the television still has a hunchback. Hearing this name again in such a long time, makes me feel old

Definitely. They have a special place in our hearts.
I only think of older kid shows like Sesame Street, Captain Kangaroo, and Mr. Rogers; shows my age I guess! Out of those I'm only familiar with Blue's Clues.
My sweet Luna I remember seeing all those growing up on Disney! I still remember seeing the shows and hearing the songs brings back so many memories from my youth.

There's another Playhouse Disney show I'm familiar with. The title and the main character shares the same real name as mine.

Yes! I remember the great big book of everything with everything inside!
I only ever watched Blue's Clues. I have heard of Max and Ruby at least but never watched it
