Lessons Learned

Dear Princess Celestia,

Today I learned a bit about where my strengths lie, and how far I should go with certain concepts. "Middle-of-the-road" is not the way to handle mental manipulation, at least not in a quick fic. Especially not when it takes a hard turn into darker territory at the last minute. Given that, I've added a bit to the story in question to lighten matters. We'll see if this works out for better or worse.

Yeah, that's fair. Suffice to say, I've taken the criticism of Everfree Hospitality into account, and hopefully I've fixed matters. Or, at the very least, I haven't made them worse. Fingers crossed.

Yeah, pr0n is a funny thing.

Which is why I try to keep a lighter tone in my own work, with everything being explicitly consensual sexytimes between adults. Which makes me boring, possibly, but it's the principle of the thing! I mean, kink-ing responsibly is an important thing. Which, on the one hand, the whole point of fiction is that it's fictional, and therefore can go places you absolutely cannot/should not IRL. On the other, well ... it's also a problem when someone's entire view of sexy kinky funtimes comes from that kind of fiction. See: folks whose only source of info on BDSM is those Fifty Shades of Grey novels, and so on.

I may be thinking too hard about this.

Honestly, you might consider giving the whole story a re-write with that kind of structure in mind. Which, uh, may be a bit much to ask for something that's just supposed to be a one-off kinkfic, but still. Or maybe a sequel/aftermath sort of thing where everyone's like 'Welp, guess this is a nudist resort now!' or something silly like that. Not terribly original-- but still a good excuse for butts.
