Is this a good idea? · 2:14am Apr 29th, 2020
So, I have this idea to introduce a character from a successful novel series and have him as a buddy for the main character in my story. Question is, should I do it, and if so, would it be considered plagiarism?
As long as you say where the character comes from and that they are not owned by you, I think you will be okay.
You can always contact the author and see if they're okay with it and maybe they'll give you ideas for the story.
What both of the guys said.

I probably should have led that the character is from an actually book series, not can fiction.

Once again, as long as you say what book the character is from and who the author of said book is, you should be fine. Plagiarism is about claiming ownership of something that isn't yours. As long as you don't claim to own it, you should be fine.
Yeah and also it depends on who it is. A common website that I use is Public Domain Super Heroes, which is a catalogue of fictional characters that are safe to use without fear of being sued for copyright.

That won't be necessary my friend, for I have already done it and finished the chapter for it. However, I will take the website you suggested into consideration if I need to do this again.
And now, for your reward.

Ha, freaking love Mark Hamill! By the way, how did you insert images into your chapters? I can't figure out how to do that.

Look for the icon that says ' Insert Embeddable Content' or press ctrl+e. After that, add a video from youtube or something and right-click on the video and press ' copy video URL'. Once that's done, past it in the bar that has Url on it.
Send a video, that way we know if I gave you the correct advice.

What if I want to put a picture?

Look for the icon that says ' Insert Image' and do the same thing. Right-click on the image and say open in new tab. then you click on the bar that gives you the site information, you copy that, and then you pate it on the ' Insert Image' icon that popped up.

Sorry, I was looking for a picture to give a demonstration, but then I saw this and knew I had to do it.

Good example. Whenever I try to upload something, from say, DeviantArt, it says, "Invalid image."
