Here's the thing. I. Don't. Care. Like, I literally do not care one jot about who composed and mixed what. So yeah, Mick isn't happy about how the Eternal OST was treated. I didn't notice much difference, I mean... I'm not an audio expert but it sounds fine to me. I don't see what all the complaints are about, I mean it's listenable and it's still good innit?
I'll tell you what it is. It's because of who did the remixing. Seriously, if it were anyone aside from Bethesda doing this nobody would care. Like, if it was some other game company... Nobody would give a shit. As long as it gets released, I don't give a crap. Seriously, pretty much every game company meddles somewhat in the OST releases, and because we need something to blame Bethesda for, this nonsense makes the gaming news.
You make a fair enough point.

Thank you! Seriously, listen to this. Does it really matter who mixed it?

Seems perfectly fine to me. I really don't get what the fuss is.
I mean, if you want to bitch about soundtrack between games, go complain about the basement theme from Resident Evil 1 versus its first remake. Now *that* was an embarrassment.

Agreed, I know fuck all about audio mixing and all that, but it still sounds damn good

The fact the background chanting is yelling "Rip and Tear" in the Sentinel's native language just makes that track all the more excellent.

Oh yes. Oh so much yes. That's honestly one of my favorite tracks. They're cheering you on, not the Gladiator. ...whom, interestingly, I noted is quite possibly the very last of the Doom 2 style Barons of Hell.

Which brings us back to my point. If it were anyone other than Bethesda pulling this stunt, it'd be barely newsworthy.

Basically, yeah.
