More nature to help with the cabin fever · 4:35am Apr 22nd, 2020
Last time was landscapes, this time is critters. Enjoy seeing some cute things I've photographed while in that strange place called the outside that we all used to be able to visit.
-Hummingbird feeding from Ocatillo (Fouquieria splendens)
- American Pika (Ochotona princeps) in talus
- Western tiger swallowtail butterflies (Papilio rutulus) drinking by a creek
-Pacific rattlesnake (Crotalus oreganus) waiting in ambush
-Black toad (Anaxyrus exsul), a rare species found in a single valley in California.
-Small, native bees pollinating a desert candle (Caulanthus inflatus).
-Pacific tree frog (Pseudacris regilla) in a creek
-Red winged blackbird (Agelaius phoeniceus) singing on a fence
Stay safe and healthy all. Until next time.
beautiful
Thank you so much for these wonderful breaks from the monotony of the indoors.
Ah yes, the wild tortilla chip in its natural habitat.
Lovely stuff. Thank you for it.
Awww, that Pika's such a cutie, frog too.
Thank you
