What question do you most wish someone would ask you, and what's the answer?

I've always been surprised more people haven't wondered what I'm like offline, considering my general niche interests and the like. That, and the non-pony books I enjoy, either at the moment or overall.

If you had to make one of the main characters of FiM (Mane 6 or oft-recurring ones like Spike, Starlight, Celestia, etc.), be the opposite gender throughout all of canon, who would you pick and why?

A couple characters come to mind.

• Rarity. Or, 'Elusive' if you prefer the common name for male Rarity. I think that having a token guy character that gets to be one of the gals while being treated normally instead of having the negative tokenism of many 'gay best friend' characters would be fun. There's a lot of good art for Elusive showing off convincing designs and a very nice, elegant marshmallow stallion. It would also fit with Lauren Faust's ideas about going against gender stereotypes. A successful business owner who knows martial arts and wants to advance in society? Sounds like a pretty conventional mail archetype to me! Oh, but he's a dressmaker with a bunch of gal pals and isn't afraid to dream of romance, have a dramatic flair, and gush about her interests. Plus, showing a positive portrayal of an entrepreneur/boss character in interactions originally between Coco/Sassy and Rarity would be neat to see with nothing changed but Rarity's gender and birth sex. Especially because despite the central nobility to the character, we would end up with things like a non-neckbeard-y show of chivalry (in helping Coco, who needed to be inspired to help herself) and an inversion of a common cartoon enemy: fussy/mean male boss and shy female employee.
• Luna. Because I like the idea/possible designs. Also, the goth horses can be goth bfs. Maybe I should write that. Just a one-shot.
• Fluttershy, just because the possible designs look cuter. The Fluttershy we have isn't ugly by any means, she was just designed with being so obviously meant to be cute that she falls into looking very plain instead.
• I can't think of any others.

I think that would end up being such a ridiculously long story. It was 2013 and I couldn't find a good Luna ship. I started stringing ideas together about Luna and Sombra and keeping a bunch of elaborate headcanon that was slowly evolving alongside other categories of ideas I had, though they were all rather parallel at the time instead of intersecting. Then I found organized, fandomLunbra, and what little material there was for them ended up being the same couple ideas, usually tragic love stories and falls to darkness. I wanted to do something different because my ideas were different and every other ship had so many different ideas and story types for it.

I wanted the goth horses to be happy. I wanted them to be silly. I wanted them to have the mandatory long adventure romance fic.

So I just wrote down everything.

That's the most tl;dr version.
