TAWOTA teaser trailer · 5:40pm Mar 30th, 2020

Hopefully, it would have been worth the wait. I announced the series in February and here we are now a month and 16 days later!

I know I said it was gonna be longer but Blender 2.8 was starting to lag and it just came to my recent attention that a teaser trailer should be short.

Stay tuned for more info!

First impressions:

Wow, Leon does not sound that fussed about being on fire. Seemed to show more emotion answering the phone. Though I guess you can't scream your lungs out when there are other people in the house, can you?

A mention of the coronavirus? Oh this trailer is definitely going to be dated in the future.

Alright, pretend I'm the average guy for a minute:

Average Q. Guy: TAWOTA? What's that? Is that a word? Is it something you eat? Tell me!

But seriously, you can't just put up an acronym and expect people to know what it means, or even that it stands for something. Though I suppose that may be what other commercials are for. :rainbowlaugh:

Overall, it's alright. Timing and delivery of the jokes could've been a little bit better. Just felt like you were listing off jokes a bit. This line, though:

Cue the lights, I'm gonna go get wasted.

Great timing, good tone of voice for the delivery, just yes. I like this.

Not without attracting attention, you can't. I'd say Leon sounding more emotional on the phone than he did when he was lit on fire would be because some people on the autism spectrum have difficulty expressing themselves but I bet a lot of people on the autism spectrum would scream their lungs when immolated. :rainbowlaugh:

To be fair, I did improvise that line along with a good portion of the second half of the trailer because I only realized four minutes is a bit too long for a bloody teaser. Yeah, this is probably going to be the only time the show gets topical (save for two jokes in two separate episodes about Chris "Kirbopher" Niosi's past abusive behaviour to his ex-girlfriends and even then, should Kirbopher be on board with being a part of the series, I will remove those jokes should he want me to).

It says what the acronym stands for in the description. And there will be a line in the pilot episode explaining what the acronym means.

Anyway, glad you liked it.

Oh. I was just thinking in terms of this airing on TV. Things make much more sense now.
