And my chronicles of pain against it.
So Doom Eternal, am I right? Best new game this year and the best way to stave off the C-Virus. Well, expect for one little thing.
Yeah, you know my pain. And pain there is a-plenty.
Death 1: Yeah, okay.
Death 2: Ooops.
Death 3: Damn.
Death 4: ....
Death 5: ...
Death 6: ...
Death 7: I discern a trend. (By now spitting and swearing)
Death 8: Want to shove a rusty chainsaw up his fucking ass.
Death 9: Okay, so tempted to toss my controller.
Death 10: has actually yeeted controller
Death... No, at last victory! Rejoice! Okay, so what happened was I forgot the weapon wheel existed and how to access it. But once I got my hands on the super shotgun and rockets... The game changed. Hit him with shotgun blasts when he was open, and rockets at his feet to do splash damage. Chainsawed for ammo and health when needed, and hit him with a glory kill. The problem with the Marauder is well... he doesn't feel like he was properly playtested or balanced. He works fine as a one-off boss, but once he comes into regular fights you're in real trouble. Take the Doom Hunter okay? He feels like a proper heavy foe. He's dangerous but manageable. But between the Marauder's axe, his super shotgun and his hound and his unbreakable shield...? He feels just haha fuck you I'm hard to be hard. What I would have done, well remove the hound and make the shield breakable. Because as he is now...?
No. Just no. For tips:
Yeah, I've heard my share of stories about this asshole too. I get that he was, in-universe, made to kill The Doom Slayer and all, and as a game, you want a tough enemy farther in, buuut yeah, id Software might have done the job a little too well?

Oh yeah, they did it too well. He's meant to be your evil counterpart but... really? This was me about halfway through. derpicdn.net/img/view/2019/2/24/1970530__safe_artist-colon-sozglitch_sunset+shimmer_equestria+girls_equestria+girls+series_game+stream_spoiler-colon-eqg+series+%28season+2%29_angry_cl.jpeg

Oof… That being said, great reference though.
Sounds like they've taken a page off Dark Souls!

No no, Dark Souls is harsh but fair for those who know what they're doing. This one enemy is just utterly broken.
Man, fuck that cheap wolf summon, am I right?
5228509
Ah, sorry to hear that.
Mind you, I can remember a few bosses that played out like that in games I've played before.

Thankfully, it's an easy dispatch. One shot should dispel it. I've heard the chaingun works really well.
As a Monster Hunter player, I know the frustration of constantly being kill by bosses who spam cheap move, ridiculously relentlessly focus you without the possibility to either attack, defend, heal or flee (even worse when it's by two or more), pulls a high critical one hit kill move or stubbornly would not die despite being completely bang up and pulls a kill move out of nowhere.
But the most rage inducing moments are the ones you think you rolled out of an attack safely only for one second later to die from apparently nothing because the game lagged on the damage intake and just left you feel like the game cheated you.
novel idea, dont play by its rules, keep running and shooting rockets, or sticky grenades at its feet
or the bfg if you feel like it

Yeah, used the rockets when I finally beat it, splash damage really helps against that bloody shield.
I got ny ass kicked to beat him though on my 8th try
