The uncertainty of our time actually reminds of this classic 1970 hit Vietnam War protest song for some reason. It was a rather messed up time then too, though obviously for pretty different reasons. Anyway unlike then, if there’s a silver lining to the Covid-19 crisis, I think it’s that instead of killing one another in warfare and hatred, the entire world can actually be united in a common goal.
We can put cultural and political beliefs and animosities aside and simply agree to fight this threat to everyone’s way of life. Everyone just “agreeing” to work together towards a common goal is quite rare, and perhaps once the crisis is over people across the world will realize our trivial differences aren’t a reason for hatred and intolerance after all.
One can hope, at least.
