Apropos of the Sinners – Update 8 · 12:41am Mar 13th, 2020
It's finished. I finally finished writing part 5. That only took me, what, 7 months? I hope this was the first and only instance in which writer's block hindered my writing efforts with this story. Part 5 was an absolute struggle to get through, and at this point I'm just glad it's complete. Well, "complete" isn't exactly accurate. It's definitely finished, but I'm extremely dissatisfied with it.
There's much revising that needs to get done—have to re-write scenes, re-write some of the dialogue, write in new scenes, some new narration—but I'm going to put this off for now and let sit what I've written so far.
Now? Now I have to get to writing part 6, which should go by much faster. I'm almost certain that I'll get it done some time this month, barring any unprecedented delays.
This is all to say that I feel myself getting back into the groove. I'll revise part 5 once I've finished part 6. Then I'll release them chapter by chapter, most likely 3 per week. Then I'll write parts 7 and 8 together and release those as well. We're just over the halfway point in this huge story and yet I feel like it'll be ending soon. A lot of things that happen are completely out-of-the-box, dark, and unpredictable.
