Too many Pinkie Pies Episode Review. Contains SPoilers My opinion, OH HELL NO! · 7:28pm Nov 17th, 2012
Okay.... this is the first one but it wont be the last. Now, I for one am not a troll here. I really am not. BUT COME THE FUCK ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Okay, first off, dont come here if you havent seen the show yet. Go watch it and then come back. From here, never mind my writing, just trying to speak about the episode.
Now, The plot of the episode is that Pinkie Pie is having trouble being with all her friends and have fun but can't be everywhere at once. So from a rythem or song her grandmother taught her, she goes and finds a magic pool that if you step in, you duplicate yourself. When she somehow magically finds it in the Everfree, she goes into the pool and two of her come out. Problem is, she doesn't follow the same brain wave as Pinkie Pie. So through out the whole episode, her clones (have em called that) cause major panic and destruction, making everypony in the town hate her. They all go for Twilight for help. When Twilight tries to find a book, SPike manages to find a book behind a hidden wall of the book shelf. Once they find out how to solve the problem but they must find the real Pinkie or feel losing the real one back at the pool.
Now, this is the part where Pinkie becomes smart, amazingly. Since everypony in town is hating her or at least not liking what her and her clones are doing, she gets all moppy and tries to find a way to distinguish herself from her clones, so she ask Twilight to do a test and see that which of her is the real one. When they are all gathered up into a single room, Twilight advises the test. The test is, to watch a wall of pain dry. Whoever loses focus, will get sent back into the pool. The test starts and almost immediatly, the first one loses. After that the Pinkies start to dwindle as Twilight sends them back. The last one stays, surprised that she stayed. When asked how, the Original Pinkie states that she had to stare, for she loved her friends.
So the morale of the lesson is that its great to have fun and greater to have friends. Having lots of friends, means that it is hard to make choices on who you spend time with. Good friends give you lots of choices on having fun, and even if you are missing out, its not for long. With that done, the episode ends.
NOW!!!!!!! Pinkie Pie.... one of the most beloved characters on the show and all time comedian, is to me the least favorite character. But doesnt mean I would perfer her over someone else. No I would first have here than any other character than Spongebob, Aventure Time and all other annoying characters that try to be funny. TRY TO.... Pinkie is actually one of the few that make me laugh, even if the character is made to be stupid. Like... stupid stupid. Now, i know its a cartoon but if one part of the episode you have her dumb as hell, making me want to hurt her and the next half of it where she looks smart for once in the entire series, it just really down right irriates me.
Now, I dont mind the stupidity of the character, what I do mind is that they really dumb her down past anything and having her raise her morals and all else. The show is right for saying that... you should spend your time wisely with your friends and never try to do everything for them. Making choices especially difficult ones are part of life, but its always nice to know that you are given choices, especially among friends.
Now from here, is where my troubles are at and again, just my opnions and some facts about the plot.
1. Why did Twilight want to turn an Apple to an Orange? Like, what they ran out of oranges or shes just trying new tricks?
2. If Fluttershy is having tea with Angel one second and later is having a tea party with all her animal friends later on, why didn't she just do it earlier? WHy in till Pinkie Pie cloned herself or something?
3. Somehow, Pinkie's Grandma told her of a secret pool that lied within the Everfree and she somehow manages to make a ryhem out of it? She also finds it just by falling in....... Another thing is, if previous episodes are staying a certain period of time, it sudgest that her grandmother told her the pool lies in the Everfree. Which, her family said in the Cutie Mark story, said that her whole family lived at the Rockfarm. How did she come by that information?
4. When she duplicates herself, the others are not as... should I say wave lenght as her, almost three times as dumb as her..... why is that? It's a mirror is it not? Isn't suppose to copy a pony excatly?
5. While trying to find the books, Spike.... Mysteriously finds a horseshoe hidden behind the bookcase which shows a hidden book. Now, isn't Twilight suppose to keep track of every book there since it is her libary? Doesn't she know that there was a hidden horseshoe there when she reorganizes the books on almost daily bases?
Thats it so that is the episode and all. Again opnions of mine and some facts stated. Tell me what you thought of the episode and what your thoughts are here. See you later....
To answer Number 4, it's working with the concept that a clone would be inferior to the original. Honestly, this episode of MLP made me think of that Treehouse of Horror segment where Homer cloned himself several times with a magic hammock, making clones that were even dumber than him. The clones get progressively...less on the save wavelength due to the wear and tear of the clone effect. And in a sense, it did make a perfect copy...of her energetic embodiment of Id, thus basing all the clones off one facet of her character rather than recreating the whole. After all, her reflection was of said energetic embodiment of Id, not any other incarnation of her. Hence, "FUN! FUN! FUN! FUN! FUN! FUN!"
That said, this episode was surprisingly alright. I'm gonna be honest. I absolutely HATE Pinkie Pie. She's so annoying and really, my first thought in this episode was "Crap, there's MORE of her?!" followed by pantomiming the act of readying a shotgun. But...I actually kinda felt bad for her. Surprising given my contempt for the character. Plus, it also seemed like she now has an idea of what seeing herself is like to people who can't stand her, constantly being this in-your-face, disgustingly saccharine partygoer. But in the end, it had moments, such as the epic "WATCH PAINT DRY" bit and how they get picked off one by one.
512010 Agreed... no for me it was fuckkkk there's more!?!? I was pissed.

So was I. And following that was "See, Pinkie? Now you know how I feel having to deal with you."
