Swimming Lessons Renovations complete · 9:27pm Jan 27th, 2020
Hi, guys. It took me a bit, and I took a few days off in between, but I finished going over and polishing up Swimming Lessons. Ultimately, this is how it went down:
Chapter 1: A 62-word drop in Microsoft Word (Fimfiction says 74 for some reason)
Chapter 2: A 48-word drop in Microsoft Word (Fimfiction says 64 for some reason. Honestly, the vast majority of what I did in this chapter was combining paragraphs)
Epilogue: A 21-word drop in Microsoft Word (Fimfiction actually agrees here).
I think the difference in word count must be related to the presence of scene transition markers. No idea why that is. But ultimately, I took out a net total of 131 words, and combined a lot of paragraphs.
So for those of you that may have read my other work and not Swimming Lessons, now's actually the perfect time to do so, since it's been freshly polished up.
And with that, I'm going to do something other than back-editing. Jumping into Swimming Lessons after ATOTS Book 1 chapter 9 probably wasn't the smartest idea, but it's done, and now I'm going to something else for a while. Well, after updating all the other copies, that is.
