Orbiting Kettle

I've roasted a wealth of exotic things, All torn to ribbons at the hands of kings. Polished copper how I proudly shone, stealin' the fire of the blazing sun.

New year, new life, old excuses · 7:35pm Jan 27th, 2020

This one will be a pretty brief communique.

Let me start by reassuring you that A Bug on a Stick is neither on hiatus nor canceled.

That said, the next couple of chapters are still in the works and may take a while. The reasons for that are that I intend to complete the arc before publishing it and that I'm stressed out beyond belief for a series of vexations related to the rest of my life.

Sorry again for the long wait.

Take the time you need. IRL stuff has to take priority. Your readers will be here when you think the chapters are ready.

May whatever's vexing you pass, and take all the time you need. I'll maul the words whenever they come.

Familiar. Nobody with any sense will hold it against you.

Yep. Good things come to those who wait.

Just give me the signal when you're ready. I'll tweak and twist as needed.

Yay!
Take your time; real life should always take precedence.

Ah, dear, sorry about the vexations and resulting stress; good luck with things!

*sits in the waiting corner, mug of tea in hand*

Your health, and welfare come first, and until then... well... I have Tea.

Yeah, real life takes precedence, and a bunch of other stuff I'll probably never have.

I’d take one good long look at the velvet cushioning of the seat before me before simply sitting down. I would then look at the small round table with granite topping it’s surface and black metal dominating it’s structure before smiling, a calm, understanding smile and taking the small cup of coffee and sipping it, my legs crossed.

“Don't worry your head about us. Your life is first of course, and we’ll always be here waiting for the next chapter my good sir.”

I’d set my coffee down and uncross my legs.

“Besides, everyone here has something else they can procrastinate on before your return, so we’ll be fine.”
