So, yeah... it's been a long while since I posted a blog, but that's mainly because I'm more focused on my readings, and of course, writing spoopy stories for all of you! Now, with that out of the way, onto the topic of the blog.
WAYYYYYY back in 2015, I started a project that ended up being a major failure. That project was "A Pony's Tale: Equestria's Fall," which I had originally done in an audio drama style, but quickly, discovered that doing a project that massive on my own, as much as the writing and acting being bad, was too much for one person. I called it quits after realizing my health was getting worse from all the stress and endless work I was putting on myself.
Well, that was the case, until one year later.
I thought I had given up too easily, and felt the project still had much potential, so I decided to abandon the entire audio drama version, and rewrite the thing in the form I'm best at; fanfiction. It took about two years, but finally, the project is seeing the light of day, and while it has mixed reviews, I'm one that doesn't really give two shits what people think about my content. The title alone should implement that it's not going to end well, but whatever.
Anywho, with all the COPPA bs going on, I realized it was time to start working outside of YouTube, seeing it's slowly meeting it's end. I found a website where you can post any sort of fanmade content called Gumroad, thanks to Wubcake. This story is getting a full adaptation to audio and will only be exclusive on Gumroad, not YouTube. It also will come with a price, but don't worry, it's nothing major. I will post each chapter separately at a cost of $5.
I know many people are going to be negative about this, but if I'm ever going to get anywhere and reach my dream of being an audiobook narrator, I can't continue doing all of this hard work for free. That's how business works. You don't get anywhere doing things for free. Now, this doesn't mean I'm leaving YouTube, only that I'm expanding my horizons to get closer to my dreams. While the project is still in the works, but is very close to completion, I'm very excited to FINALLY, after 5 years of adapting this originally "failed" project to some way I could make it work, is going to get the treatment it deserves.
This project is a trilogy as well, so I will be adapting the other two parts to audio as well, when they get done. I've got a lot of shit on my plate to get done, as much as produce content for my channel. I'm taking this with a different approach as well, having friends give me secondary opinons and proofreading the chapters. I want this to be as wholesome as possible, and so far, it's been a LOT of hard work and has taken up most of my time, hence my inactivity on YouTube atm.
The two sequels will probably take awhile to write, but trust me, you will not be disappointed by this adaptation. This story falls under the grimdark category, as it contains lots of tragic and horrifying aspects, and once it starts, it doesn't stop, so this is NOT FOR EVERYBODY.
