The future of Man of War and Happy Birthday Miles!

Today is Miles's birthday! Or, tomorrow is, if you're reading at the time of release. Crazy to think one of my favorite jokes with Miles was literally decided by one of the readers. As a Brony Point reward I let someone pick his birthday, and they chose Feb. 29. So now the joke goes whenever he's acting immature he replies that he is only six.

    Fallout galore!

It's been several years, but I've finally come back to writing this beast of a story! If you like my style of writing and Fallout, be sure to give Fallout Equestria: Equalizer a read!

    I'm alive! I swear!

It's true, I am alive! And I have good news! A bunch of chapters are about start coming out! I haven't pushed them out yet because I wanted to try something new this year. So read some more and tell me what you think. If you ain't got the time for that, TL;DR will be at the bottom.

    Head Held High, Semper Fi

It's been a hot minute, hasn't it? But I have returned once again! But I come baring some sad news. I did not make it to the end of training and am not a marine. If you'd like to know the why, keep reading. If not, I'll add a tl;dr at the end.

    Semper Fidelis

All of my stories will be on hiatus for the foreseeable future as I begin my military career.

I wanted to get so much more done than I actually did. But time was a resource that I didn't have enough of. And I am sorry for that.

Do not fret though! When I am able to, I fully intend to come back and start writing again! Just know that it'll be some time before that occurs.

I'm alive! I swear! · 4:49am Jan 7th, 2020

It's true, I am alive! And I have good news! A bunch of chapters are about start coming out! I haven't pushed them out yet because I wanted to try something new this year. So read some more and tell me what you think. If you ain't got the time for that, TL;DR will be at the bottom.

So the idea in my head works out like this. I'm going to do a chapter a week and present it as best as possible. Probably getting them around 3.5k words or so. I'll try to make them concise, but if the deadline hits I'll use that day to clean it up and send it out. The main reason I'm starting out with this is I reached an understanding with my writers block.

Usually what happens is I'll get a decent chunk done and spend far too long staring at it. Usually trying to think of ways to redo it or double checking for continuity (who needs editing :raritycry::raritycry:). As I stare at it I'll start messing with it or get fixated on something that ends up wasting days or weeks. I start getting too committed to the idea of building on what's there rather than continuing on with the next part. Or so I believe at least.

So here's my remedy. Stop messing with it and go! Seems simple enough really, though I can see this driving me slightly insane. In a good way though. I don't want to keep getting bogged down with every little hiccup or imperfection. This was also how I basically got started too. I'd write until I had to go or something, clean the end, and push it out. And while I can understand the dangers of setting deadlines and forcing out chapters, I feel this will be good for two main reasons.

It'll help me get back into writing, which is something that I missed doing. And it will get me to stop nitpicking over the minor things. Which, truth be told, aren't really that big to begin with (hindsight). So that's the plan, hope it works out. But here's where you come in! Because picking a day to post has little meaning to me really, I'll let the community decide.

What days do you spend the most reading here on Fimfic? Is there a general time? Any advice on the subject would be appreciated. Even though I have a few chapters ready I'm going to hold onto them and start doing weekly's. So look forward to that! I think it helps too that 3rd arc is coming to a close as well. Honestly can't wait to get to the blood and gore War has to offer! :flutterrage:

TL;DR: What day of the week do you prefer chapters to come out?

Thanks for your input, and like always;

Friday, 10pm EST

I agree with The Candy Mare Friday afternoons would be dope if it doesn't conflict with ur IRL schedule

well i was following your story from a long time ago
so waiting it’s just not a problem for me

5181364 Honestly, my schedule is pretty meh on the situation. I can see it being rough at times in the future, but that's also sort of the point. If that makes sense at all.

Brony on!

i don't believe you!
i think you're actually typing this up from beyond the grave to give us false hope!
your tricks will not work on me, ghoul!

Yay. Glad to see more coming out can't wait

I'd say on saturdays whatever hour suits you. Also glad to know you will be continuing this

Glad to have you back.
