For Anyone Worried About Pony Life · 11:01pm Jan 1st, 2020
Let me just get this out of the way first.
It's not going to be like Teen Titans Go!
Hasbro is a toy company that specialises in all-ages family-friendly entertainment.
To the point where it got worried about certain people (Cough-Whohavenolives-Cough) complaining that Derpy was offensive...
They are not going to take a children's classic that only finished last year and turn it into a show with wilfully incompetent, irresponsible and unpleasant heroes and copious amounts of toilet humour.
Teen Titans Go! was horrible, yes. But it wasn't because of the oversimplified animation.
The primary reason was that Cartoon Network was in a financial pickle, so to speak, and demanded the writers and animators think fast not hard. Writers weren't given enough time to write something meaningful and animators weren't given enough time to animate something fluid.
So Teen Titans Go was made with a bad attitude, cheap standards and shallow intentions.
Which is exactly what the show became.
When I first saw Pony Life advertised, I didn't really think that much of it but then again, I don't actually watch the show.
Honestly, what it reminded me of first was Unikitty or The Amazing World of Gumball. Hell, even RWBY Chibi.
Because things have changed since Teen Titans Go. These past couple of years have actually seen the standards of animation and entertainment rise considerably since the slump of the mid-2010's. With stuff that really pushes the boundaries, small independent studios are gaining ground and the big companies are steadily getting out of their stagnancy.
And Hasbro doesn't look like it's running short of cash.
So, if Pony Life is good, yay.
If not, well...it is only a spin-off. G5 is in preparation and if it looks uncertain, let the people at Hasbro know.
Remember, MLP didn't have to come back in the first place. This franchise is one where the fans and the creators work very closely, not perfectly but better than most.
So let's keep the magic going.
Indeed. It will live forever in the fandom. I mean, Look at Danny Phantom, that show was cancelled long ago and still got a fandom. Even saw MLP fanart with it
