e-rite Corner #1

Evening, everyone! I'll be naming these informational blogs regarding stories as "e-rite Corner". Reason being is because the first two words of "e-rite" go along with my actual first and last name's first letters.

Enough of that useless fun fact, here's a quick update on what's going on with Chapter 3 of The Magic of Friendship: Part 1!

Right now, I'll say its about 45% done. I'm just now getting gritty with the progress at the minute now, now that I feel like I've done what I needed to do for my arts and stuff (shameless plug but link for my DeviantArt down at the end of this post), so now I'm going to really focus on finishing chapter 3 this week, hopefully before the end of the year.

Like I said before, Chapter 3 will focus primarily on Twilight's side of the story. The reason why it's taking a while is, well, since Silver Shoals is a place barely explored, I wanted to explore the little coastal town a bit, dig down on its history and characters (especially with one of its locations and an original character I made up where the chapter will mostly take place). Unfourantely, that means that the chapter will be a bit much longer than Chapter 2 (as of 12/29/2019, I'm at 6,015 words), but at this point, I don't really mind at the moment. I think it helps tell the story that I'm trying to tell and if not, well, you guys will point out pacing errors, I'll learn the lesson, and adapt like always. I can't say much more without giving anything away, but Twilight here will be Twilight-ing some ideas to hide away an emotion she immediately felt back from Chapter 2.

That's about it. As for Chapter 4 (which would be the last chapter before going to The Magic of Friendship: Part 2 (which, by the show's standards, will be the last part of this adventure), I really am aiming to finish that before I head back to hitting the books.

Oh, and I guess I should mention this, but it ain't that big and such. After Part 1 is finished, I will be working on some art for the cover and a few scenes. Much would be uncolored (because I'm terrible with coloring), but the cover shall be!
