Off the top of my head : Twilight Sparkle caused the Plunder Vines

In Swarm of the Century Season 1 Episode 10. The Parasprites invade Ponyville eating all the food and reproducing at an alarming rate.

I have a theory the Predators in the Everfree eat Parasprites that why they don’t leave to hunt ponies.

But that not what I want to talk about. Twilight Sparkle changed some Parasprites with magic to prevent them from eating the remaining food. Instead they started eating anything else. Good thing they didn’t become carnivorous.

Those altered Parasprites were then lead by Pinkie Pie into the Everfree.

Question what did the Parasprites eat in the Everfree? It has to be something that could keep up with the hunger of the multi colored bugs. Something magical like the Plunder Vines.

By introducing the altered Parasprites the ecology of the Everfree was changed and the normal Parasprites couldn’t keep up eating the plunder seeds. A few seasons later and the Vines over run Ponyville.

It all Twilight Fault.
