    Always Read Da Rules

So I recently saw the site wide contest regarding a story that consists only of dialog.

And I thought "Hey! I have a story that is all dialog already!"

So I went in, did a few little edits to make Celestia sould more Celestial, and then went to see how to submit my little tale.

    The Bean is loose!

Okay. Somebody left the front gate open, and Baked Bean has gotten out and wandered off again.

If you happen to spot him, do not approach, do not get him wet, do not expose to direct sunlight, and whatever you do, don't feed him after midnight. (It makes him gassy.)

Pinkie Pie will be back soon! · 5:45pm Dec 19th, 2019

Let me share with you a little story about why prereaders and editors are awesome. (Especially the ones that put up with my henscratch. :)

A couple three of you might remember that I unleashed the first chapter of Who is Pinkie Pie back on Labor Day. At the time, I thought the story was going to be a fun little two chapter, 10k word thing, but then Georg sent me the following via PM:

Problem: I'm still fuzzy on the basis behind the story, though.
Q: Why did Long Run not know Pinkie Pie?
A: _____________

I could not fill in that blank, so I put the story on hold while I came up with something. Sipioc provided the solution/idea, thankfully, and now the next chapter of WiPP is now being looked over and edited so that blank can be filled. Once that is done, I shall share it with you all. I think you'll like what happens. :pinkiehappy:

random idea thought up reading this, Long Run is actually a childhood friend of pinky pie when they were very young but they had a falling out when pinkie broke a pinky promise and stopped talking to each other and at that time Runs parents moved away from the pie rock farm so they never made up,( it be where she get her obsession on never breaking a pinky promise from,) Long Run grew up and forget it all, but pinky never did and has actively been avoiding him

Generally, for every story, you have to swallow a story conception plot variable. For The Love of the Love of the Game = Rarity's father plays professional hoofball. Twilight Sparkle Makes a Coltfriend - Twilight thinks she can get 'better' at dating if she practices with an enchanted doll. Life is a Lemon by Blueshift (an amazing heart-wrencher) - There is more to Lemon Dreams than simply thinking she's a lemon. The Gathering - Alicorns are actually galactic cosmic beings. Shipping Sickness - Twilight Sparkle is frustrated by her friends not having romantic relationships and is willing to go to extraordinary lengths to make it happen.

Deep in the purple force-fielded darkness of the Ponyville Library's common room, now crowded almost to bursting with purloined furniture, an unlikely puppet-master was speaking to a rather large armoire. Rather more unusually than that, the armoire appeared to be taking careful note of her words.

"All right!" declared an utterly mane-frazzled Twilight Sparkle, a tiny nervous tic picking at her eyelid as she paced back and forth in front of the sizable piece of furniture. "You are no longer just a cabinet! You are now Shining Armoire, captain of my Royal Guard!"

"Something's wrong here," said Shining Armoire. "I'm... pretty sure I belong to a pony named Rarity?"

I'll admit, I have not prodded Irrespective into such amazing heights, but I still have a pin, and time. :)

Hmm... interesting.... :duck:

I have a love-hate relationship with Life is a Lemon. I hate the feelings it makes me feel, but that's what a truly great story is supposed to do, so I love it. It's complicated. :)

An honestly, a pin and time is probably what I need. A lot of the really great authors on here have been writing for many years now, practicing and honing their craft to perfection. I've only been at this for 2 1/2 years-ish, so I have a lot of catching up to do.

5172126 Something to consider: I *started* writing ponyfic when I was 49, eight years ago. Since then, I've gotten *so* much better that it scares me at times. (I'm still never going to be more than a 4-star writer in a 5-star world, but I can do those stars, darnit) If I had only started seriously writing back in my 20s, I could have that house with a pool by now. "Missus Rowling! I was just thinking about calling you. If you're up to another week in the Bahamas, I'll send my private jet to you."

Hey, I can dream. Or hallucinate.
