Under construction: pardon our dust! Into Equestria's still alive and kicking (somewhere)! · 8:27am Dec 19th, 2019
Given how I'm in the process of rewriting Into Equestria from the ground up, I figured I'd might as well at the very least give y'all the chance to see what the story was going to be for some time. Keep in mind that the current iteration of Into Equestria is no longer considered canon to Pony-Me, even if the description has not yet been changed to reflect that.
As far as writing goes, I've been pulling in ideas from just about every source I've got, including an old list of story titles I made from several months ago, before the current iteration of Into Equestria was thought up of. Everything is still under heavy development-- the characters, especially. Given the generally unrelatable (or even unlikeable) personas of the characters in Into Equestria, I've opted to go ahead and rewrite just about every character in the story. Returning characters, of course, will be based on whatever they were like at the end of Pony-Me.
I plan to publish the remaining chapters I've already written, one chapter a day until there aren't any more. After that, Into Equestria will likely either be put on hiatus, or cancelled while I continue work on the rewrite. I have a feeling that given the changes I've been making, it'd be much better to just publish the rewrite as an entirely new story.
If I end up not publishing them in the way that I just described, then expect them all to drop at once when the rewrite is published.
Of course, I really can't say if anything I talked about in this blog will be final. The rewrite is still very much in the works, and currently consists of a partially written pitch, some free-floating ideas, character sheets and a little bit of an opening chapter. If anything comes up, I'll likely blog about it.
