Weird concept but would it work?

SO I recently thought about when I was younger and playing mmorpgs. Then I thought of something, those games allow for multiple custom characters. SO, What if for a story a person was sent to Equestria as one of these characters but then had to deal with the other ones(I.E. Befriend, fight or even kill) Would this intrigue you guys/gals?

Here's an example,
A person comes to Equestria as say a dnd class, and race. LEts stat bland and say Human fighter. Now this leaves the other classes as either the freind or foe depending on personality, alignment etc.
