MN7 Book Edited version going online at last! · 1:51am Nov 27th, 2019

Hey there, folks.

I promised this a long time ago, but FimFic was being a bit of a butt with its uploading process not copying formatting correctly. Thankfully that is now resolved, and I have begun to upload the book edits into the online version for those who were curious.

I want to restate, these are edits, not rewrites. Masses of typo/grammar fixes, removal of my early obsession with ellipses, drew in some that were harming themselves by stacking on too many things, and some tweaks to certain scenes to better fit the pacing and/or themes of that area. Some scenes got some more lavish environmental description, and I think only a couple really got heavy edits to the scenes. (One example is the end of Chapter 4, which focuses more on Murky's personal conflict and feelings than on a strange course of logic that never got referred to again for the rest of the entire story otherwise.)

This took about a year of work in tandem with the editors at Absolutely Everything for the book release. I never wanted to have these edits paywalled in the published version, so here they are now that I finally have the means to get them uploaded with minimal fuss. The first three chapters are done, and I'll likely do a few more tonight. I hope to have them all completed in less than a week. I'll update everyone when that's done.

If for any reason anyone is absolutely determined to read the older version, it will still persist on the old Gdocs hub until I get around to creating a dedicated archival space on Gdrive for it. I don't want to delete anything.

Regards,
- Fuzzy

Excellent, glad to hear it.

Great, I was looking forward to this!

Interesting, though I'm gonna wait for the kindle version, if it happens. Don't like reading on this site if I can avoid it. Especially with long stories. So much scrolling...

Oh excellent. Will wait for it. I was doing a re-read and was taking extensive notes of all ponies names, colours, marks, relatives as well as locations, items etc. Up to CH10 with 44 pages of notes. Won't hurt too much to start again. Can't wait.

If you want the Kindle version, download the ePub and use Calibre (free ebook reader, editor, convertor) to convert it to .mobi. It will even format it for many different Kindle models. I read the ePub on my Kobo and it was fine.

There's nothing crucial you'd be re-reading, to be honest. Other than a small change in Chapter 3 (the thresher) and the ending of Chapter 4 (scene outside with Brim) little has changed other than generally sprucing it up, fixing errors, adjusting some descriptions/thoughts, etc.
