The only way to recover is to process your trauma and move on.
That's what I've been told recently and uh, as usual, I dismiss that...
1: Who says you're SUPPOSED to recover?
2: Who says you're even ALLOWED?
3: Who says it's even possible?
You are what you are, I've been told, and you CANNOT change who you are. Besides that's what people act like all the time.
"You will never be forgiven."
"You did it in the first place."
"You will never be justified"
As in the case of fiction, I had made it perfectly clear...
I do not want BB moving on from Things Change, letting go of his past and being happy.
No, it's he ends up with Terra, or he ends up punished along with everyone else.
Even if he doesn't throw any "so-called" tantrums, or doesn't become evil (Which I prefer him to do) He is to be killed (I want that loser dead) That's mandatory, and after all "Don't you see... He can't move on if he's DEAD!!"
Heck, one idea I have in future is for a TEEN TITANS IN EQUESTRIA... There is no Beast Boy. He never existed, was never part of the Teen Titans. That way people don't have to hear about Things Change (Just like they want) and I'm not interested in having that loser around, for giving on Terra, and going unpunished as well as the others.
Of course if he doesn't die, he may live... but his life is to be anything BUT appealing. (Just because he tries to move on, doesn't mean he WILL, and doesn't mean good things will or are entitled to happen to him)
-People are still to not look up to him, or appreciate him.
-There may be many fish in the sea, but NONE that will nibble on his line (As they are not interested in him)
-The Titans are still to be rude, harsh, neglectful towards him (Raven especially. She'll rudely insult him, and smack him upside the head cuz she feels like it)
...That's the way I want it. Fitting punishments for letting go of Terra, and makes it easier to make fanfics that I PREFER.
But then again, I was told this...
people are allowed to change how they want to live their lives,
So, if Terra is allowed to TRY TO change and live as a school girl civilian.
Then surely Beast Boy is allowed to act the way I make him.
Or are people willing to go back on that too?
After all, all I've ever seen is they ALLOW Terra to change, but not Beast Boy, and that he's OOC.
Well, tough rocks. If he's not allowed to change, why is Terra allowed? (and no... it's not changing for the better... it's CHANGE... PERIOD. For better or worse... I prefer worse)
Then again, BB was never actual this comic relief jokester, (Not to mention I don't like those kinds of characters anyway) According to his histories, it's just a mask of laughter he wears to suppress his trauma and inner-pain (Which is not very healthy... always keeping it bottled without venting it. Even shrinks will tell you) It's time for him stop pretending, take off the mask (It's not working anymore)
This is his NEW character, he's CHANGED, just like people CAN Change, especially depending upon the situation.
And that's that.
The only way to recover is to process your trauma and move on.
...Forget it!
Usually when characters are in my fanfiction, they're not here to be socially rehabilitated, they're not here to better their lives either.
Nope, when they come here... they come to be punished! (No futures for them, at least not bright ones)
To be fair, it's shown a fair few times the Titans, especially Cyborg, care for him. He is part of their family.

Still, they may get annoyed with him, even in the comics, show based or otherwise, but it is shown they are friends to the end
