I confess that while Fluttershy x Discord is cute, I was always more fond of Discord x Celestia. I liked to think that for the longest time, they were the only constant in eachother's long, long lives.

Celestia: "We were in love. Then fell out of love. Then he hooked up with some crazy bitch. Then he became a total douche, I stoned him, he came back... Now we have booty calls every now and then where we have the most twisted sex you can and can't imagine."

Fluttershy: "Oh-Oh my..." *Blush*

Celestia: "In eachother's lives... We were the only constant. So I'm happy he's found you, Fluttershy. He's more like himself again. For the first time in centuries..."

Fluttershy: "You're welcome."

Celestia: "A silly part of me wishes it was me who did that... sighs I suppose... I'm just too damn old for love anymore."

Fluttershy: "N-No! No, it's-it's not like that! We-we're just friends, r-really!"

Celestia: "Whatever you are... I'm glad. As for me? I have... A job to get back to."

*Celestia turns and heads off, leaving a thoughtful Fluttershy behind*

Fluttershy thus resolves... To try and get these immortals back together for eachother's happiness!

Can she do it?

I love DisLestia. I absolutely adore the concept of the tragic romance. That these two character were deeply, madly in love, but their nature and desires drove them apart. That the moment where Tia finally took up arms against Discord was one of heartbreak, a moment she wished to never relive... only to be force to do it again when Luna fell to the Nightmare.

Also because it hints at the possibility of the thing I love more than anything else: a good redemption story.
