A new piece of art the go along with the CRISIS: Divergence cast, this time a set of the "Mean Six" as they'd look in the Equestria Girls style, arted up by Siansaar.

    Artwork!

Hey, check out this neat artwork by Siansaar! It's the young royals as of the epilogue of CRISIS: Equestria - Divergence, Book 3! Which does technically entail a spoiler, since one of the four is unique to Divergence and not in the original, for reasons.

    Companion Piece

For readers of CRISIS Divergence, Book 3, in-between Chapters 13/14, there's a special little event that takes place between a few particular characters. For those curious, Derpibooru happens to have a depiction of such an event, which can be found under 2743900, I believe. Hmmmm.

    CRISIS: Equestria - 10 Year Anniversary-ish

Ten years ago(-ish), the first chapter of CRISIS: Equestria was published on Equestria Daily. I say "-ish" because due to how EQD posts, I actually don't know the exact date it published on anymore! But I do know that it posted up roughly around

CRISIS: The Sequel - An Update · 11:27am Oct 25th, 2019

So work on the sequel story for CRISIS: Equestria is coming along quite nicely in my opinion; the chapters are more close in length to the prequel's chapters, so they should be easier to read and catch up on if readers fall behind, but they're still meaty enough to have lots of new characters, updated locations and old characters, and plenty of the thing that made CRISIS: Equestria great in the first place: the world it takes place in.

Before going further, fair warning, there be spoilers here for CRISIS: Equestia. You have been warned.

Over the next few weeks, as a sort of teaser for you, my followers, I've decided to reveal a little bit of information about the sequel story. There won't be any plot elements here, or hints at new characters necessarily, or even the slightest clue as to how, where, or why the adventure is going to take place, but I think it's neat stuff nonetheless to establish where the world of Equestria-IV - the CRISISverse version of the canon MLP:FiM show - deviates from the actual canon, as that is a critical concept to CRISIS: Equestria's conclusion. The only tidbit worth giving is my general interpretation of the timeframe that takes place between the defeat of Tirek, Chryalis, and Cozy Glow, and the epilogue episode of the series - in this case, roughly twenty years (which also accounts for the timeframe between season four - which CRISIS: Equestria takes place before - and season nine)

I'm spreading this information out over three parts. This first part is going to cover what's happened to the canon characters - i.e. the Mane Six - that participated in CRISIS: Equestria, as well as two of the original characters - Flathoof and Briarthorn - that emigrated to their world.

So, without further ado:

The Equestria-IV Cast of CRISIS: Equestria - Where Are They Now?

Princess Twilight Sparkle
Not much is different between Equestria-IV’s Twilight Sparkle and the canon Twilight Sparkle. She’s still the Princess of Friendship; she’s still the main ruler of Equestria, living in Canterlot, assisted by Spike and her friends in the course of her rule; she still oversees the School for Gifted Unicorns; she still grew taller and is a proper regal princess like Celestia before her. The only thing really different about her is her self-confidence; Equestria-IV’s Twilight went through an experience that canon Twilight never had to, and grew bolder and more assured of herself because of it; she doesn’t second-guess herself nearly as often, and is somehow more open to forgiveness and second-chances than her canon counterpart. Not that it helped with Tirek, Queen Chrysalis, or Cozy Glow, but she certainly tried.

Rarity
Equestria-IV’s Rarity, inspired by her adventures in Equestria-V, is a much more bold businessmare than in canon and has taken the fashion world by storm. She continues to own and operate Carousel Boutique, of course, but she has moved her main location to Canterlot itself in order to be front-and-center in the newly-populated city, while her original, now-secondary location still remains in Ponyville, run by Yona and Sandbar. She’s most well-known for her stunning winter designs. Despite all this, however, she’ll never admit to her friends how lonely she feels at times, or why; only her sister, Sweetie Belle, is even aware of it and has somewhat been sworn to secrecy.

Applejack
Equestria-IV’s Applejack’s life is drastically different from her canon counterpart. She still lives on and runs Sweet Apple Acres along with her brother, Big Macintosh, but here she is married to Flathoof, from Equestria-V, and has three children with him: Honeycrisp, Jazz Apple, and Ginger Gold. Thanks to an extra pair of hooves on the farm, plus more as her children grew older, the farm has expanded tremendously over the years and Applejack’s family now ships crops and products all over more than half of Equestria; in particular, Apple Clan Cider is considered one of the finest brands in the world.

Pinkie Pie
Equestria-IV’s Pinkie Pie has some substantial differences from canon. She is happily married to Rainbow Dash, of course, rather than Cheese Sandwich; she also no longer lives in Ponyville, having moved to Canterlot to open a bakery, Sweet Dreams, together with her friend and counterpart, Red Velvet; the bakery is an ambitious venture, but it is extremely popular and caters some of the biggest events in the city. She and Rainbow haven’t really considered kids of their own, more than happy with taking care of their “niece”, Cheesecake. She still likes to cosplay, but does it officially now; sometimes she goes to conventions with Insipid to cut loose, and is usually a popular draw for her accurate costumes; nopony knows where she gets them.

Fluttershy
Equestria-IV’s Fluttershy is not drastically different from her canon self. She still runs an animal sanctuary in Ponyville, of course, but as Equestria-IV’s Discord was befriended by a completely different set of ponies (Trixie, Cheerilee, Derpy Hooves, Raincloud, Lyra Heartstrings, and Carrot Top), Fluttershy has no deeper connection with him like her canon self does. Despite this, her experiences in Equestria-V have taught her a valuable lesson about being open and honest about her feelings and emotions, and she no longer hides herself away most days anymore; she’s actually a popular figure in Ponyville and has plenty of friends.

Rainbow Dash
Equestria-IV’s Rainbow Dash is not drastically different from her canon self, either. She still leads the Wonderbolts, naturally, but she doesn’t live with Applejack on Sweet Apple Acres; instead she lives with Pinkie Pie, and the two have married in the interim years. She runs a tight ship on the Wonderbolt team, expecting nothing but the best of the best from her fellow flyers, but in return she gives them nothing but the best of the best from her leadership. Her experiences in Equestria-V have mellowed her tremendously, and she’s become more than just the team leader of the Wonderbolts, but the team counselor, handling all sorts of issues and doing everything she can to have not just the top flight team in Equestria, but a solid group of friends and colleagues.

Flathoof
Originally from Equestria-V, Flathoof has fully integrated into Equestria-IV’s world, first as Applejack’s coltfriend, then husband, and now they have three children together (see Applejack, above). They still live on Sweet Apple Acres and operate it as always, raising their family together. Farm life has been good for the former city pony, giving him good health and high spirits; he still has his prosthetic foreleg after losing his saving Applejack’s life, but advances in Equestria-IV’s technology has made it easier to maintain than ever. When not working on the farm itself, he’s also head of Ponyville’s Neighborhood Watch program, keeping an eye out for troublemakers; old habits die hard, after all.

Briarthorn
Originally from Equestria-V, Briarthorn has fully integrated into Equestria-IV’s world, originally serving part-time on Rainbow’s weather team until he qualified as a trainer for the Wonderbolts, which he currently does for a career and does exceedingly well, if Rainbow Dash’s successful teams over the years are anything to go by. He has fully recovered from his former Diffusion sickness, as Equestria-IV’s environment has allowed him to relax and get magical treatment for his symptoms. He’s also grown out of his youthful playcolt phase, though he has yet to settle down properly with anypony; there are rumors abound on some of the more influential ponies he’s tried to woo, or who tried to woo him, but nopony’s confirmed or denied anything, and he likes it that way: itadds a bit of mystery.

Next time, we'll see what the Mean Six got up to since the CRISIS: Equestria epilogue.

I am so happy you decided to keep Dash and Pinkie together.

Well it is an alternate universe and all that jazz, so I saw no reason to split them up just because they're not a thing in canon  PinkieDash forever!

I have not been so disappointed in an ending pair since I saw the ending of Digimon season 2. I am just going to have to live with all the fan stories instead!

Awesome! Didn't think it be this similar though.

Well, I don't want to spoil anything, but I'll note that your initial expectation here might be a wee bit misplaced. :rainbowwild:
