Happy 20th anniversary, Lord of the Rings. Stories, anyone?

    Sweet Celestia I'm old.

What are your favourite LotR crossover fics here on fimfiction?
I still remember 'The White Rider', an amazingly written fic that sadly was never finished.

    Anyway. :b

    Next Generation? Oh yes please.

Must say I loved the movie, it gave a shitty week a wonderful end and I still have the fuzzies 20h later. That hasn't happened in a very, very long time. Watched it with my kids and other half, and we had a blast. Characters are great, the music is good to great and always fits, the jokes landed. References and also themes that will go over most kids' heads but are satisfying and often funny to

Six years and a day ago...

...the one thing happened that made me write my first fimfiction story, Northland.

    TThe Last Pony on Earth
One day, Earth. The next, everyone is gone and I'm a pony. What the heck is going on?

    Damn.

I got a a really nice comment on it today and now I feel both happy and sad.
At my current pace the next chapter of Northland should be out at about May 2025. :ajsleepy:

The iPone has arrived - and people are spontaneously combusting

I think the new pones are ridiculously cute, and a smartphone (regardless of how it works - we're officially in the far future after all) with a hoof-indent for better, uhm, handling is peak adorable. That's got to be one of the next inventions in the Track-Switch verse, for mankind's ongoing quest to become more accommodating to ponykind.

Not dead, new story, lots of coffee

    So, yeah, I'm not dead.
I had a really, really shitty time that recently ended with me losing my job, which I hated.

Apparently that sudden freedom was what was needed to lift my writer's block and I wrote a new story, that may or may not be a one-shot.

Obligatory state of the author post. Oh, and a new Track Switch chapter. And art! · 7:29pm Oct 24th, 2019

Hi again.

I know that fanfic sites and artist blogs sometimes feel like competitions on who is worse off in terms of mental health... but yeah. I don't know where it suddenly came from, but I received a prolonged visit from my old friend the black dog. Which is a kinda good name for depression I learned once upon a time when I lived in Wales. Being bipolar is shit, even with medication. I wish the more 'high' phases would happen more often. Those are productive.

Now I am sort of okay again. Getting the energy back after a dive takes some time, especially when you have three kids to take care of and job worries. So it is slow going, but at least it is going. So for now at least I've alleviated my bad conscience about not writing which tends to prevent me from writing the amount I'd like to write. I know, it's stupid.

Anyway.

A new Double Traction chapter is forthcoming, as soon as I've plugged a hole of maybe two paragraphs that I suddenly found to be missing. In other news, I got incredibly lucky and won an art raffle on twitter. :yay:

Go and give Lunar Froxy's twitter a glance. Worth it.

Have some Nightline, catching a moth. And I finally know her cutiemark!

Glad to hear you're on an upswing. Also, congrats on the raffle win! Very cute Nightline, and a perfect cutie mark for her.

Sad to hear the black dog mauled you, glad to hear you're on the mend. And that's a bonny Nightline to have won on the raffle. :pinkiehappy:

Cheers for the reminder about Double Traction as well. I'll have to read it sooner rather than later.

Thank you both!
And yes, the artist liked the pose I proposed and the character as well - and as a result went way over the quality promised for the raffle winner.

Alright, new chapter.

That is some serious diabeetus right there. Good for you!

It is good to hear that you feel better. Also this is some serious cute artwork there.

Ah, sorry to hear about that visiting canine. Glad it's departed again. :)

And congratulations on the raffle win!

And nice art!

hugs Celefin

Sorry to hear you were having problems, and glad to hear you're getting past them. I know how much depression can suck.

A beautiful drawing. I wish you well on your journey, and I'm enjoying the story.

“The Black Dog”... a good name for it... I’m going to have to remember that one.

I’m glad to hear you’re on the upswing!
