Exactly what it says on the tin! If anyone else is going (and if there's any kind of Fimfiction discord meetup group on it~), please let me know. With travel and etc. I likely won't be going to many of these, so I'd love to RL meet as many Fimfic peeps as I can.
There are few feelings for an author quite as wonderful as receiving fan art, all the more because I found it by sheer chance. While the artist MrRicharZ has taken it down from Derpibooru he was kind enough to let me use his work as cover art for the story.
I like that story enough (and have grown fond enough of listening to dramatic reads) that I have commissioned one from our own Skijarama!

I often find myself wondering why more monster hunters don't embrace the flamethrower. Sure it can be a danger to the user, but it kills 99% of things that go bump in the night.
I'm just going to second the Spaceballs reference you made over on said DA original post.

Flamethrowers aren't good for zombies. You just go from "undead hordes" to "undead hordes that are on fire".
But, very effective against most other things... demons, gods, and eldritch horrors withstanding.

Might be more difficult to acquire the necessary materials and resources to make it work. Post-apocalyptic worlds tend to have a lot of bullets lying around, not so much the fuel necessary for a flamethrower.

Interestingly, I based the design on a commercially available flamethrower. No joke! I was looking up references for flamethrowers, initially just planning on a surplus WW2 or Vietnam War one, then a homemade one, but lo and behold, the X-15 flamethrower!
