Happy Birthday, Andrew Francis

Today is Andrew Francis' birthday. Fittingly, with today being Memorial Day, he is the voice of Shining Armor from the character's debut until his final on-screen appearance in Season 9. He was also the voice of Night Light for the character's first (and brief) speaking appearance in "The Crystalling, Part 2", and was the voice of a couple of other characters, including at least one royal guard.

Today is Chantal Strand's birthday, she is the talented young woman who voiced Diamond Tiara through the first five seasons, as well as Spoiled Rich in a few one-off cameos, and she voiced a few other characters here and there too including Bon-Bon in "Green Isn't Your Color". However, we've learned now that while the show staff wanted to do more stuff with Diamond Tiara after her redemption, Hasbro shot every idea pitched to them down, which is quite sad.

Chantal has had a few other roles under her belt as well, including Cassie from Dragon Tales, Bijou in the English dub of Hamtaro, and Madeline in two home media releases in the 2000's: My Fair Madeline in 2002 and Madeline in Tahiti in 2007.

Happy birthday, Chantal. Even if Hasbro wanted to forget about Diamond Tiara we here in the fandom never did, and hopefully if "Spirit of the Forest" is any indication the IDW Comics can still find things for her to do.
