The End (SPOILER WARNING) · 12:39pm Oct 13th, 2019

The time has finally come...or rather, it went.

Here are my thoughts:

In all honesty, I thought the two parter was rushed, in a sense. We had all of this hype building up for Grogar and the friendship between the other villains, and then its revealed that Discord was Grogar all along. And that he had been setting up these 'challenges' for Twilight for the entirety of S9 (I'm surprised Celestia didn't vaporize him on the spot). Seems wasteful, doesn't it? Same with the villain friendship thing, build up in past episodes just thrown away for the finale. It pisses me off to an extent, but I still enjoyed the finale regardless.

As for The Last Problem......I couldn't have asked for a better closure to nine whole years of a legendary show. We saw our beloved six aged and matured, and that brought both tears and joy to me. The song at the end was both joyful and saddening (You know you cried during it, don't lie) .
And with that book closing, the very book we had seen from the beginning....perfect. Just absolutely perfect, ending where we began. Not to mention really damn tearjerking too!

And with that bombshell of a finale, the Fourth Generation of My Little Pony comes to a spectacular close. This show, over nine years, has taught us so much, lessons that I know for a fact will be held close to my heart for as long as I draw breath. And I'll be staying around for Generation Five too, so I'm not going anywhere anytime soon! Just think of it as a hiatus between this and the new movie/Gen V. Might help you hold in that much more tears.
