The absolute best feeling that I can imagine for any human on this planet to experience is love. It's one of those things that is essential to the needs of a human being in order for them to survive, and it holds people together in more forms than just a romantic one. For example, families are built on a mutual basis of love and care to function, and it becomes hard to not be dysfunctional without it.
Once you fall in love with that special someone, be it a guy or a girl, pain is non-existent. You feel like you can do anything, and you will do anything because you'd do whatever you can to make that special someone happy, even if it might be at the expense of your own happiness. That's a part of it, too; sacrifice. You've got to look at the big picture and make room for possibilities that may arise, such as long-distance relationships, the idea that a job placement might land your significant other too far away from you to continue, etc. But you'll still have the love and enormous affection in your heart for them that goes on being undying.
Romance is such a wonderful, heartwarming thing with some bittersweet moments, give or take, and it can make a person have a sense of belonging at the same time it pushes the motivational tendencies of a person to breathe life and place effort into the world, give them a reason to exist. Sometimes, the love of one for another doesn't always play out as well, and it can often be misguided, such with puppy love, but the best part about it is that it's free of a price tag and anybody can experience it, either as a whole package or in small, bite-sized samples. A dose here and a dose there is really all some people need.
If you can find it in yourself to trust one another, then amazing things can happen. But, before you do, trust yourself enough to let the right one in.
