My favorite films seen in 2023.

My favorite films I've watched in 2023.

    1. The Philadelphia Story (1940) - When a rich woman's ex-husband and a tabloid-type reporter turn up just before her planned remarriage, she begins to learn the truth about herself. (This movie has a very good cast. I very much enjoyed seeing this.)

Happy Thanksgiving, and I present you all with a song.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!

And the song I am going to link you all is a holiday tune, but that season is close enough.

Mistletoe Kiss Polka (1949) - Margaret Whiting and The Mellomen

101 Horror Movies - Part One.

I picked up a book titled "101 Horror Movies You Must See Before You Die" yesterday. I will break up my thoughts into a series of posts.
The book is set up by decades, so today I’ll cover every film it mentions from before the 1930s. (The copyright of the book is 2009.)

    The 1910s and 1920s:

Godzilla and Turner Classic Movies · 3:24pm Sep 29th, 2019

Godzilla is Turner Classic Movies "Monster Of The Month" for October 2019. Godzilla/kaiju movies every Friday night!

Turner Classic Movies overview for this week.

Monday September 30th
11 PM - CinemAbility: The Art of Inclusion (2018) - An investigation into the way media portrayals impact the actual inclusion of people with disabilities in society.

Thursday October 3rd
9:45 PM - Horror Hotel aka City Of The Dead (1960) - A young coed travels to a village to continue her research on witchcraft, and discovers some horrifying secrets. (This is one of my favorite horror films from the 60's. It's awesome. So much atmosphere).

1 AM Friday Morning - The original "Suspiria" (1977) will air - A dancing school is haunted by mysterious murders.

4:30 AM Friday Morning - Haxan: Witchcraft Through The Ages (1922) - A silent horror film/documentary. It's also in the Criterion Collection. It's quite something. esp for coming out in the 1920's.

Friday October 4th will air the following
8 PM - Godzilla (1954) - The original Japanese version.

9:30 PM - Godzilla, King Of The Monsters (1956) - The American version with Raymond Burr.

11 PM - Godzilla Raids Again (1955) - Nuclear tests awaken two prehistoric monsters whose battles threaten to level Japan. (I believe this is aka "Gigantis, the Fire Monster").

12:30 AM - Godzilla Vs. Mothra (1964) - IMO the best of the Godzilla vs. movies.

2:15 AM Mothra (1962) - Mothra's debut film.

Saturday
4 AM - The Town That Dreaded Sundown (1977) - Texarkana is terrorized by a hooded serial killer. (Inspired by a series of real attacks in Texarkana in the 1940s).

Speaking of Godzilla, I saw the new movie. And it's badass.
So many references to the old Toho films. Lots of monster action.
